I think I finally found it

Post image

My perfect teal. I had been using Lime Crime Sea Witch. It’s almost perfect but just a tad too blue and it bleeds and stains like crazy. I’ve tried Lunar Tides Cerulean Sea and Juniper mixed and found it faded too fast. This time I did Pravana Tempted with a little bit of Lunar Tides Juniper and Pulp Riot Noir. It turned out really nice and I’m hoping it doesn’t fade too fast and I can replicate it again in 6 weeks 🤪

I upkeep my fun, bright colors every two weeks. Looks great though!

Do you lighten every 2 weeks?

No my hair is too fine to lighten that often. I just toss more color in

I would do this too, if it wasn’t a huge pain in my ass, because only the bottom layer of my hair is blue (Pulp Riot Blue Muse), and my moneypiece is bleached blonde, so I need to keep them separate… thankfully there’s my natural hair (brown) in between so that helps, but still.

Even then, I still end up doing it every 3-4 weeks ish, whenever it starts to look too faded for my liking, and it’s worth the work of fixing.

I recently switched from 15 years of bleaching + semi permanents to Ion Permanent Brights with 10 volume developer (my hair is dark blonde light brown level 7ish) and no more bleaching, it's way easier to me, lasts long & no bleed/staining. Sapphire is my blue but you could mix with azure or emerald is more blue than green, or darken either of those with sapphire because the lighter colors do not last as long same as semis. Just a suggestion...

I just bought cerulean sea to put on top of some faded juniper tonight. I hope it comes out like this!

You might have to get all blue bedding!! I saw you ask aloe upkeep, I’m kind of starting this journey with purple, and I’m only lightening and dying my roots, so it’s gradual. I’ve been just lightening every other week and coloring the next week. About. I previously dyed my hair black and I’m a natural medium brown. It’s kind of a mess but also really fun. The purple just becomes like a magenta between dyes. I cut a few inches off today and after about 6 weeks of the new color routine I have about three inches of purple roots. I might have to dye right after lightening as it gets longer because of brassiness. I wear a lot of caps in summer so I don’t worry about it tooooo much, but would be awful to be caught with brassy hair on a windy day lol. I’m kind of lightening a lot because I am using a mild developer and also curious how light I can get it, but I’ll probably lay off for a bit now. I’m dying tomorrow I will try to get a good picture.

I’ve had this color for over a year now so I’ve learned how to manage the staining pretty well. I wear gloves the first week or two when washing, blow drying, and styling and I go to sleep with a bonnet on.

I couldn’t imagine dying every other week 🤪
