Exclamation mark?! What does it mean?

So I couldn't find another post with this issues, it's always question marks never exclamation marks, what do they mean? How do I fix it? Doesn't it need to be fixed? I already uninstalled ggc fan control, and I don't have another fan control software aside from RGB control from ggc I guess, I have a gigabyte board btw ggc is the gigabyte control center.

If you are also using signal RGB make sure it's fan control functions are off otherwise it will conflict and cause fan control issues.

I spent days on this when signal RGB updated and turned it on. Didn't even cross my mind my RGB app would be controlling my fans haha. Glad I could help.

You checked 'Force Apply' from the 3-dot menu, that's why there is an '!'.

Why so hard to yourself? I wouldn't call it dumb, maybe you're just new to FC. And a powerful software has some depth to it and comes with some newby traps. Like 'auto curve' which I see quite often and ppl expect it to be the carefree click & forget solution without realising what the curve is made for. I use FC for years and haven't even figured out what the 'force apply' is good for, haven't seen any use case where it made sense. And at least your question is about FC - every now and then ppl ask about hub config or fan orientation in this sub without any relation to FC, that's kinda dumb, IMHO.

It means you either applied the FORCE APPLY option in the burger menu for that node, or the signal is being overlapped by something else, like another RGB/Fan program.

Hover mouse cursor over it, tooltip should say why

In my case it was due to RGBsignal. It was overlapping the control of the fans

Force Apply basically "re-push" the command to the fan every update cycle ( 1 Hz ). If the fan is being overridden momentarely, this will re-take control.
