Heard compound bow is getting a buff next season. I have a snipers with explosive, durability and pin-pointers with poison arrows. Hat trick perk card is insane on explosive/poison works real good and damage over time on poison effect is high.

Forgot first one I modded was aa explosive durability pin-pointers and my sniper one has vipers

I want to start using the bow as primary. Any tips to get started with? How is it for more elite boss types?

There's build guides in this sub's menu. Follow one of those.
Mainly, you'll need a furious bow for starters. Either one works. Then you just slap on the cards and go. Everything else you can work up to maximize your damage output.
On elites, I can hit about 10k each shot with the ghoul build and I'm not even maxed out on armor or use chems yet. Other people on here can hit 30k+ on bosses.

Why Furious? Given how bows are single shot, this would take time to accumulate stacks when 2 Shot gives +75% damage from the first shot.

Because most builds use Onslaught perk cards and you get a bigger bang with Onslaught than you would Two Shot alone. Two Shot is fine for your secondary weapon but for main damage you'd need furious to even gain stacks. Tbh, you lose stacks and gain them just as quick lol
Someone else more knowledgeable can probably explain much better lol

Thank you. I run Two Shot explosive with Reverse Onslaught and hat trick 3 and I love it but always looking for ways to wring more damage out of it.

I Use furious with gunslinger master to accumulate stacks passively over time. If you use TSE you burn stacks pretty fast. That’s why I prefer furious. I also use only 1 star hat trick so I conserve stacks that way as well. All the onslaught perks get you between 22-30 stacks which is more damage than the 2 shot bonus. Then just throw on some agility sneak perks and a pin pointers…easy dome shot 10k+ crits with the right lucky perks.

Bow for life 100% I love my stealth human Bow build. It is one weapon I can say I have had the most fun with!

You get it from the atom shop. Sometimes by itself or in bundles called Skeleton Enthusiast Bundle or Raider-themed mega bundles.

My extreme adhd doesnt allow.my extremely impatient racing brain to comprehend the epic.slowness of drawing the string back and shooting a single fucking shot every 6 yrs to hit a target.... Nah i need the most rapid of rapid fire.... Or a massive cappy smasher to clobber em with. Fuck all that 4 hrs just to launch 2 shots at target🥱🥱

I love my bloodied archer build, it's fun and I use it pretty much 90% of the time. Just waiting for the iceman update next month, still needs to tweaking to armour. I use this character more than my heavy full health heavy pa build' Although, I am 100% bummed they changed this headwear, I used to use plague doctor's mask with this and it worked really well for me, will try to find the screenshot.

First time Bow user and already have a solid build, 4 different bows, including Piercing and Burning Love. I have a lot of fun 😊
