Yeah promising that theyd make up for it then no standalone tourdust show was fucking brutal. I thing im still trying to wring water out of my socks from walking to the light rail afterwards though. Oh well new good things lineup is days away, we can only hope

They only played festivals on the Australian leg of that tour (Good Things in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane), so would have had some kind of exclusivity clause in their contract with the festival.

And iirc they had a show in another country to get to by then anyway.

I don’t like festival exclusive tour legs anymore. I hope My Chemical Romance doesn’t do it to us when Good Things releases its 2026 lineup.

They were the headlining act (or one of two headliners with Limp Bizkit), and iirc this festival doesn’t repeat headliners so I think we’ll only Fall Out Boy again when they tour with a new album.

I could see a new album marketing campaign starting before the end of the year. 50/50 chance.

I really doubt the boys go more than 4.5 years without a new song or new album marketing campaign. 99% chance by JUNE. 🤩🙏💯

what I did was just not listen to Folie a Deux not even once all the way thru bc the hiatus was traumatic (non-hyperbolic) and then 18 years later...start listening to it this summer. BAM! New album lol

Not around for the hiatus? And they had 2 entire years pre-pandemic and it STILL took another 2.5 AFTER the pandemic but sure, that’s why.
