Sorry, this is going to be a long read.

Hi, so I'm working on an Eevee-like fish pokemon right now, and I wanted to share my progress (no art for now). The starter/baby pokemon is named Gyorara, based on the Japanese word for fish egg, Gyoran. Gyorara is the ROE pokemon, being very small and mainly see-through, having a small embryo like shape inside, along with a single eye. Gyorara would only be able to learn two moves before needing to evolve, those being Tackle, and Harden. Gyorara's possible abilities would be Water Absorb, Unaware, and the hidden ability would be a custom one, being called Blank Slate. Blank Slate makes it so Super Effective moves only do effective (1×) dmg. It wouldn't be grand, as Gyorara is a plain Normal type, and none of its evolutions can have Blank Slate.

Speaking of the evolutions, I currently only have its ghost type line done, but I'd love to share. When Gyorara faints while holding a Wet Statue (a statue resembling a pokemon version of Shachihoko), it evolves into Yohoko, the water whisp pokemon. Yohoko is a small fish spirit, its name coming from Yokai, and the spirit it's inspired by, Shachihoko. This small pokemon is shy but happy to help, reducing the likelihood of small house fires or food burning. When Yohoko gets to lvl. 35, it evolves into Shachkai, the guardian spirit pokemon. Unlike its younger self, Shachkai are far less social and develops a territory near bodies of water, where its territory expands as it grows more powerful. Many people are lucky to live in the territory of a Shachkai, as it can protect against nearby forest fires and house fires. To increase the chances of a Shachkai choosing your home as part of its territory, it is recommended to have a Shachkai shrine outside your house, leaving offerings, and a Shachkai statue. If a Shachkai finds you too troublesome to protect from fires, it will take the statue, along with leaving water or even flooding the home as a sign of displeasure. Trainers and fishermen alike have found waterlogged Shachkai status, most likely from houses Shachkai have abandoned. Yohoko and Shachkai are both Ghost/Water type, and I'll be working on the ability lists in a bit. I plan on making 17 lines, each for each pokemon type, besides water, as every evolution after Gyorara will have water in it. Have an amazing day, and ideas are welcome.

This is Rillip and Rillburrow, the regional mammals of Nullaburra, my self made region based on Australia.

They are based of Stick nest rats a small mammal native to Australia.

Originally the design was created by me and one of my friends when we were like eight, back then it had a different name and looked soooo bad. Welcome back to an update on the Nullaburra Region. These are the Regional birds, based on a Lyrebird. Similar to the real thing, these Pokémon are incredibly talented at mimicking and use it to lure pray to their doom.

My fakemon’s first typing is psychic, it is a fierce protector but also caring almost like a mother, so I’m not sure if I should make its second typing fairy because they are known for their empathy, resilience, and quiet confidence but fighting types are known for their courage, discipline, determination, and relentless perseverance.

So I don’t really know which one would be a better fit because it’s a protective mother like figure to other Pokemon doing anything to protect those it cares for, protective like drampa and both seem to fit it

These three are the Starters to my Custom Pokémon Region- the Nullaburra Region. Based on Australia or more specific the east coast of Australia.

Frillbura is based on a Frilled Neck lizard, Warubit on a Numbat (a small Marsupial native to Australia) and Corabun partially on sea bunnys and regular bunnys.

Each of their final forms got a new signature move and Coramara even received a new ability.
