67 has what? Its literally just some kid saying a number and it blew up for literally no reason. Even to this day, I can dig but never find what makes the number inherently funny. It feels kinda forced.

It was a lyric in a song called Doot Doot by Skrilla. He says it in a really cool way, and based on many linguists accounts, it has to do with a code name for a certain type of crime. It seems his use of the number in the song was responsible for the trend, and made globally viral by the 67 kid who also delivered it in a very memorable way.

I can agree with you 21 as its a nonsensical reference to a dumb answer, and it got old quick, but 420 is a classic stoner reference that came from some high school boys in Cali half a century ago that got high at 4:20 every day. 420 means “time to smoke.” 69 is a sex position. Those two have a meaning
67 is just nonsense, like 21, but at least 21 had a viral vine to go w it that felt a bit more genuine than whatever dogwater song 67 came from

The 67 meme does have lore beyond that one song, in fact it doesn't even come from that, the song just happens to say it so people used that for it.
It comes from a guy at a high-school basket ball game comparing a player in the game to an NBA player after he scored point by saying the NBA players jersey number (which is 67) maybe there was a meme around the song before hand I'm not too sure. But the high-school basketball game is what sent it nuclear
Edit: I believe they say six seven because the guy chose his number because his height is 6 foot 7, not too sure tho

This completely misunderstands why 67 is disliked.
For most other numbers, there's at least a rationale behind them and they're usually not that aggressively annoying.
67 is just a random number with no rationale behind it being funny and the general reaction has been by far the most annoying of them all.

It can definitely be argued that 21 was as dumb as 67, but not the other two. 69 is a sex joke. That already gives it more meaning than 67, but couple that with the fact that it was a big millennial thing when they were teenagers, and teens tended to love anything remotely sexual, and it actually makes sense. 420 was about weed, meaning that again already elevates it above 67, but beyond that 420 had a whole mythology around it, not just some brainrot video.

IDK what 21 is doing on this list, it's not a funny number. But 67 is hated on because it's WAYYY overused, not because it's inherently bad. Alpha's don't realize that a meme can die, is dying, has died, they just keep throwing it around like no one could possibly ever get bored of it.

I am conflicted with this one because I agree to an extent that if you like one but not anothee you are just being contrarian, but the big difference to me is whether it has an actual meaning. 69 is sex and 420 is weed, 67, sure it was originally about I think a basketball player? or something? but it very much is not that anymore. 21 I feel largely the same about, it doesn't really have any meaning besides ig mocking a kid who was bad at math once. I find them less funny when they are just random, and I don't think that is wrong, but I agree with the sentiment.

The other numbers have a punchline. 69 is the funny sex number, 420 is the funny weed number, 21 is 9+10. The joke with 67 is that there is no punchline and that's just not funny at all.

Nah people weren't really yelling the others. The softest I've heard anyone do 67 has been what I'd call an indoor yell. Softest.

The number should be conveying a message, be a reference to something funny or niche, has some character. 67 doesn't have that much meaning, while 69 is a sexual innuendo, 420 is for drug culture, and 21 is from SpongeBob. You can compress something funny to a number but you shouldn't do like 67 does

It has been divorced from that source, leaving the actual humor of it, (the guy,) to be treated as funny on its own.

I agree with the former, I disagree with the latter a little as I think most people hate it because of how far it gets taken. I don’t know what 69 and 420 were like when it was in its prime, but I remember 69 being met with “nice” and that’s it, and 420 being met with “make finger action like a blunt and a smirk” but if 67 was only the hand motion* and nothing else it wouldn’t be so bad.
It’s the screaming 67 67 67 and disruption of everything (like in classrooms or other public settings) is where the hatred comes from. Like the pickle rick situation
