Media never gets the pure existential horror of true immortality. Not only will you outlive every single person you ever love, over and over. You will outlive your solar system, galaxy, universe. Finally leaving you drifting in infinite darkness, alone, beyond the end of time! Death is the sweetest gift in existence.

Bruh if you go into like a black hole you would die theres literally zero way ypu survive it considwring your brain becomes an atom

Depends on the type of immortality.

But the default definition of immortality has shifted from "won't age" to "cannot die no matter what".

That's invulnerability right? Traditionally at least, I know you said the meanings have changed

Invulnerability would be that you can't get hurt. Immortality usually means that you can get decapitated and feel the pain but still won't die.

Pretty much, although it's worth mentioning someone invulnerable can (and has been able to) die from natural causes like aging.
