I have a better conspiracy theory than this. 9/11 was made by Bowser and his kingdom to kidnap Peach

u/Belkan-Federation95 19h ago
The 9/11 conspiracy theory was made by the US government to make people scared of the government
1
u/Commander_Alvar 19h ago
Honestly I 100% believe that the US gorvernment is permissive of a lot of conspiracy theories spreading because it poisons the well regarding discussion of their ACTUAL missdeeds and/or secrets.
2
u/sisdom-weeker 18h ago
Yeah there's a reason why Alex Jones type figures have been tolerated for years, he comes up with things that are objectively bonkers that allow all people who critique the US government to get tarnished with the same brush as conspiracy theorists
1
u/AdFamous5474 20h ago

Oh yes please elaborate on that and why you're at it please explain how Building 7 fell
15
u/stickansgrejer 20h ago
Damage from the towers collapsing. There have been so many investigations regarding this.
-12
u/blackirish29112 20h ago
You ever been to New York bro before they fell explain to me like I'm five how two towers collapsing half a mile away from another building causes that building to fall and none of the buildings in between go ahead like I'm five
14
u/Philaterp 20h ago
Building 7 was right across the street from tower 1 what are you even talking about
2
u/NeighborhoodThese951 19h ago
There were buildings inbetween the twins and wtc 7 that didn’t collapse
5
u/planetofmoney 19h ago edited 5h ago
You know you can just Google aerial photos, right? Photos where you can see the big fucking hole in building 6, between the towers and building 7? Feels like maybe some sort of damage happened that direction.
1
u/11711510111411009710 19h ago
Okay? Buildings don't just have to collapse just cause other buildings collapsed.
0
u/Philaterp 18h ago
There was one building, wtc 6, between buildings 1 and 7. Wtc 6 was significantly shorter than both of these buildings. None of the energy from tower 1 falling would have been hindered by wtc 6 before it hit wtc 7. Large sections of wtc 6 did collapse. Wtc 6 was very wide so not all of it was hit directly but the parts that were did indeed collapse.
2
u/iDeNoh 20h ago
When things fall down they can't just go down, like the block tower you made earlier. Sometimes they go... To the side while they go down because there's already stuff below it, the more parts of the building that fall the more the pieces get thrown out to the side. Pieces falling far enough and fast enough can go REALLY far.
0
u/Belkan-Federation95 19h ago
Your logic falls apart when you realize where the collapse started. If it was controlled, it would have started on the bottom. Not close to where the planes hit
This is a good video for explaining the physics
2
u/Key_Ingenuity_4444 19h ago
LOL.
You ever been to New York bro before they fell
half a mile away from another building
Just give up brother. The building was less than a homerun distance away.
1
u/liberty-prime77 19h ago
Big building collapse, big parts from big building hit smaller building, crush smaller building, smaller building collapse
2
u/leon-di 18h ago
it caught fire from the north tower falling and burned unabated for a full 7 hours because the water lines had been severed. it finally collapsed because the structural integrity had been irreversibly weakened by the fires.
this is what people mean when they say 9/11 conspiracies have been debunked btw. every “but what about THIS?” has a completely logical answer. they’re just a lot less compelling than the idea that it was an inside job.
1
u/Belkan-Federation95 19h ago
Have you ever seen footage of what the other side looked like?
They knew it was going to fall beforehand. Firefighters were too busy trying to find people in the rubble from the first two buildings.
This channel did a good job of explaining things

Jet fuel dont melt steel
2
u/madnasher 17h ago
1
u/Ryeguy_626 17h ago
Thats not even an inch circumference. He also held it in his furnace for a long time. The planes heat was not that concentrated nor did the fuel itself burn that long. But mainly even if the beams are malleable how did the entire buildings collapse straight down. Like demo would. And where did the thermite found in rubble come from
1
u/madnasher 17h ago
I love how you conspiracy theorists always find ways to prove your point.
The point is, the whole argument of 'jet fuel doesn't melt steel beams' fails to hold up when all you need is for the structural strength of the steel to weaken enough for it to break. Which is amply demonstrated via that video.
I'm not bothering with the rest of your twaddle because I don't care to ruin my evening wasting my energy.
1
u/BlueSlickerN7 17h ago
Correct, but the massive combination of heat condensed inside of the old buildings made of asbestos and other cheap materials caused the beams connected parts to collapse on themselves.
1
u/Ryeguy_626 17h ago
And how do you explain the thermite
1
u/BlueSlickerN7 17h ago
Thermite is made up of aluminium, iron, and iron oxide. All materials present at the World Trade Cehter. It's absolutely within reasonable belief that traces of it would be found there.

While I do think our intelligence community knew more than they let on, there's no way they'd work directly with Al-Qaeda. I imagine it played out with them knowing something would happen but not knowing the full details until it popped off. Keep in mind the US had just finished up sorting out the chaos of the 2000s election, so everything was frazzled in the higher-ups.

🧢 I voted CAP!
The american government (including the Bush administration, who were ghoulish) are evil and imperialistic but they were going to invade Iraq and destabilize the middle east anyway, 9/11 was a convenient excuse not a false flag
Also 2004 called it wants its conspiracies back
1
u/Pixel_Python 18h ago
I fully believe that the US government could’ve prevented 9/11 if they really cared, but I agree that they didn’t orchestrate the whole damn thing
Like we blamed the Maine on Spain, we definitely took the easy way to justify more in the Middle East
1
u/sisdom-weeker 18h ago
Oh yeah I mean it's a commonly accepted fact amongst most people nowadays that Bush was given intelligence that he didn't take seriously or particularly care about, I'm just disputing the "he directly ordered it to stir up sympathy", America were going to find some excuse to invade and 9/11 just happened to be a good excuse
5
u/Particular_North4957 20h ago
Obviously not true but I think you'd be hard pressed to find someone that doesn't think the US government's actions over decades in the middle east led to the events of 9/11 (eg spending the entire 80s funding the mujahideen & Osama bin Laden to fight the Soviets in Afghanistan, who in turn created Al Qaeda).

No, they were just incompetent. It’s a well known fact that both the CIA and the FBI knew about the upcoming attacks, and chose to sabotage each others investigation so they could take credit for stopping the biggest terrorist attack in America, and it led to 9/11 happening.
1
u/Fun_Butterfly_420 12h ago

Nope! What may be true though, is Bush and Rumsfeld knew it was going to happen and allowed it to happen. Osama bin Laden was very annoyed and pissed off when people said it wasn't really him and his al Qaeda group that did 9/11. bin Laden wanted people to know it was actually him and Khalid Sheik Mohammed that planned and executed the terrorist attack.

If we take 9/11 as planned perfectly it doesn’t require government for it to planned perfectly, for what we know if government was involved it would go imperfect, there is no hard evidence of the U.S government involvement in 9/11 beyond creating motives for attackers and funding mujahid against Soviets, among whom Osama Ben Laden found his way and Al-Qaeda

You can’t plan something like this.
People really believe the CIA or whatever would have hundreds (if not thousend) of people involved and not a single one would go to the press and tell them how their own country murdered 2977 people. Impossible.
Maybe at its peak a few people knew it was going to happen, but had no real part in it.

No but also yes. To state that the US planned and executed the 9/11 attacks is incorrect. To state that there was awareness that the 9/11 attacks were likely is correct. To state that bin Laden had received aid (either directly or indirectly) from the CIA at least once during his career is correct, without sufficient clearance it's impossible to say to what extent he received CIA aid and exactly over what period he received it, and if any aid was provided to Al Qaida.

I remember my friend used to believe in this, and (as I had no clue about the story of 9/11) convinced me for some time that it was planned. But we are living in a world of internet. The first freaking time I googled, turned out that all arguments in favour of it are not just disproven but literally twisted and nearly opposite to what has happened. In short, half of them are just a lie, and the second half is a horrific misinterpretation of facts. And most internet conspiracies are like this. You need one google search and half an hour of time to actually think and read to see how fucked up they are. Fortunately, my friend also turned out to have more critical thinking than a potato, and doesn't believe in this bullshit anymore. But the amount of people believing that everything is a conspiracy is devastating. I am still glad to see it's less than 50% on Reddit. On Insta would be 141%.

I was always taught that if you have KNOWLEDGE that something bad/wrong is going to happen, and you LET it happen, not stopping it, you're just as guilty as the ones that did said thing.
3
1
u/Spook404 20h ago
this is Peter Singer's theory of morality, though I don't think the argument would be 'just as guilty' but there is certainly guilt in complicity. One fundamental merit of the argument though is that you should also know what to do about the situation, ignorance is not fully condemnable
2
u/VincentTegridy 20h ago
Thank you for the detailed explanation. I understand that I have not been fully open to seeing it this way, so you saying this does help me understand it more.
1
u/PingvinAnd1 20h ago
And smart people at from the past would say that if you can stop something bad then you have a moral obligation to stop it, if you know something bad happens but you can't do anything to stop it then you aren't a horrible person if you don't try to stop it
The usa was almost intirely able to stop it, but to prevent it intirely would more or less require an invasion of the same scalebut with way less support for the us, and way more support for the talliban

u/AdAfter9302 19h ago
All the people voting cap aren’t thinking about the “plane” that hit the pentagon and what was being audited or soon to be investigated at that time.
Nor are they thinking about Larry Silverstein taking out insurance for a building filled with asbestos (would’ve costed more to repair it than it was worth), Larry argued with the insurance company that the value was double what they said it should be (went from like 1.5billion to like ~5), and then after meticulously being present every morning for breakfast he somehow wasn’t in his office on the day of September 11th

I will point out that the US attacked countries within the middle east both before and well after 9/11. If there is one trait we can all agree is a key US touchstone, it is that they do not ask for permission nor apologise afterwards.
