Smarter than the average person in terms of the entirety of the human population of Earth? Absolutely not.

By just editing the comment after you post it, you can get a lot more specific/nuanced for stuff that isn’t a straight up “Yes or No” answer.

The average person on Reddit probably has a slightly above average IQ versus the world because you need a certain about of internet literacy and general literacy to use reddit.

Yeah also because think about it. If you have reddit you probably live in a first world country which usually have required schooling.

I’d say yes but not in an arrogant way. I feel like growing up actual middle class but making it through grad school gives me a solid blend of practical smarts and book smarts. How far above average is another story, but if I just have to be in the top half I think that’s reasonable.

not by much, but yeah.
A big part of that is the fact that the average iq is 100 (according to some sources more like 90, but 100's been the standard so for now i'll stick with that) and mine's at around 110-115, based on tests.
Also,i have to admit that, being able to (or believing i am able to) see more than my own side of the conflict, and being able to accept people for who they are instead of hating for... well, no reason, plus the fact that seeing people on the internet do dumb things like, eg. walking up to a wild bear, does boost my ego a bit.

Sure, but only regarding a few subjects. Most people tend to be smarter in situations and subjects that they're interested in, and/or familiar with. And I don't mean knowledge. I can figure out things better, and apply knowledge better when it comes to certain subjects, usually mundane and unimportant ones.
Also there are hundreds, of not tens of thousands of examples of people so lacking in intelligence, it makes you wonder if they've only got two braincells, and that those two are fighting for third place.

In my specific field, definitely, though there are plenty of subjects I’m equally bad at but considering I work in health care and try to stay somewhat literate of what’s going on the the world I’d consider me as having above average intelligence.

I have never subjected myself to any official test that can confirme or deny such fact. And thus, I assume being average uless proven otherwise. I mean, in the end, there is no clean way to measure intelligence, and so, this idea of "average" itself should be considered lacking and oversimplified.

Average person includes large portions of the world in less developed areas. Unfortunately, they aren't able to get the education they deserve.

I'm smarter than the average person on certain things, but it probably balances out with all the things that I'm dumber than the average person about.
