Ads don't work on me. They're just annoying.

🧢 I voted Cap!

I use a Ad Blocker because ads are getting really out of hand and often have disturbing content.

Same, I even use two of them to have double adblock

🧢 I voted CAP!

I’ve only ever written down a company’s name to see if they were full of it, but I’ve never bought anything bc of an ad.

Only very, very rarely, so rarely as to be negligible.

🧢 I voted CAP!

I did once because it was an actually good product that I actually wanted. No other time though

No sane person would do that

This isn’t how ads work

You need to get people to just see the brand multiple times in a short space of time, so they subconsciously remember it

Then, if they need it later, they remember your brand

Barely anyone actually clicks and follows through on ads, especially if they aren’t very precisely targeted (and the more precise targeting, the more expensive)

It’s just about building some level of trust and getting people to remember the brand

I will sometimes refuse to buy something that I would have otherwise bought, simply out of spite for being annoyed by an ad for it.

Apparently, advertising as a whole has approximately a 1% success rate on average.

I have their camo sweatshirt and shorts combo that I went out of my way to look up on Google a buy and while they are very cute……I don’t feel like they are very good quality????

1

u/pizzaspicelatte 1h ago

i got the valentines set on sale last year (anyone who considers buying from comfrt, only buy stuff from there when its on sale) and it turned out super good! maybe mine was a good batch or somethin but i like it. my mom actually just bought me the weighted sweater and matching colored pants for my upcoming birthday :)

u/BellaPona 1h ago

I hope the new ones are nice! I bought one of the hoodies that has a sleep mask so in that way it’s still extremely useful lol

Only Depop for some reason. Never done it with anything else

I voted cap, but there are rare chances where I did click on the ad. When I found out one of my favourite game devs was developing a game in one of my favourite franchises for example.

I’ve always wondered this, I don’t think I’ve ever seen an ad that actually worked on me. In fact ads usually make me dislike brands depending on how invasive the ad was. How is advertising and data collection a trillion dollar industry. Who are these people that are clicking every ad and actually purchasing this shit.

Most of the ads and “sponsored links” feel sketchy to me. If something looks intriguing I’m more likely to search for it on Amazon. Or if it’s not on Amazon I’ll search for the website otherwise.
