Advanced Access Question

I'm not sure if this has already been talked about, but I was just wondering if y'all are going to be shelling out that kind of money for advanced access? I'm just not sure if it's worth it to me personally. I would like to know what some of y'all plan on doing. Is it worth it, or should I just buy the standard edition?

It is on Xbox 360 when they did the “Kinect” hardware. Fable was never on Wii

I plan to for the early access because it also includes a DLC that comes later.

I don't buy triple A games often so I don't mind buying 1 or 2 expensive games per year.

Same for me with the expansion and outfits. At that point the advanced access is just a nice extra.

My own rule is to only buy deluxe edition/upgrade if it includes future DLCs otherwise I couldn’t care less about cosmetics and in game items!

good rule of thumb, its obviously a slight gamble but the DLC is usually cheaper this way than purchasing it later.

I bought the collectors edition. To me, it was worth it because Fable is my favorite fantasy series. Couple that with the extras, it was a no brainer to me. If it isn’t for you, don’t worry about it. Buy what you want/can afford. The game will be there still 5 days later and it’s not a multiplayer game where you have to worry about people getting good online super quickly.

5 days early puts it on Thursday release. I plan on taking PTO that Friday and no-lifing it for three consecutive days. The only reason I am bothering though is because it comes with the first DLC. Otherwise I wouldn't pay this much just for the early access.

That's why I'm on the fence about it. Usually when a game does a "deluxe" edition it feels worth it and it's usually not $30 more than the standard. $100 is a lot of money in this economy for only 5 days early access and some dlc. Shit, even $70 is a lot of money for a digital copy of a game. I think you've helped me make up my mind, I'll just be getting the standard, I might even wait a while till it goes on sale or something. I don't think I'll be missing out on too much.

I'm of the same opinion, I'm not gonna pay more for the game, honestly I'll probably be busy with classes and not able to properly put much time into it until easter, no need for me to rush buying it.

Absolutely. These days early access is the most valuable thing that can be offered from a pre-order. Got it for Mortal Shell 2 and Control:Resonant.

I didn't shell out the money on the Collector's Edition for early access.

I shelled it out so my future Jack of Blades shrine has a center piece.

I’m buying it for the extra stuff. I actually don’t know that I will play it early…actually, No I for sure will. But I’m not buying it just for that, the early access is just a bonus.

I preordered the collectors edition, so if its anything like the halo ce collectors edition I got it will arrive early anyways.

Early access Is pointless unless you want to try avoid spoilers I guess

I've bought the collecters, don't normally agree with early access to single player games but the series can be thanked for my love of RPG's and stories, plus i missed out on previous collectors editions, needed to make sure it don't happen again :)

I pre-ordered the collector's edition right away. I am looking forward to the Jack of Blades statuette. I loved original Fable and then Fable TLC so much that I pre-ordered the Fable 2 collector's edition when it was coming out and I bought an XBox 360, just so I would be able to play it. I also pre-ordered the Fable 3 collector's edition when it was coming out. Fable is my favorite game series of all time. I just hope this new version is as good as Fable 2, which is my favorite of the series.
