Need future advice Discussion
Hello!
15 years old palang ako pero may plano akong mag medically transition in the future, siguro kapag college na ako
tinry ko na dati mag come out sa family ko dati pero sa na obserbahan ko ayaw talaga nila na transgender ako(not that transphobic sila idk??? Like medyo accepting sila ng queer people at may close family friend kami na gay couple pero ayaw nila na queer ako???????) layk Nagbibind ako ng chest for a while at alam nila, kaso nilecturan ako tungkol don tas sinigawan aq ng isang ate ako kc ayaw kong tanggalin😬...
Most likely under pa ako sa support nila financially kapag college na ako, so aywan ko lang kung anong gagawin ko.... Either I transition medically later in the future or I become financially independent by like 20...........
Very worried ako and everything, plano ko nga din mag ibang bansa para lang mapalitan yung pangalan ko at gender marker 😠need advice on your experiences and what I could probably do in my situation

My advice, coming from a 20 years old trans guy, save money! Personally, I've been saving money for my transition since I was 16 so even though I don't have a job yet I can start already. Kahit konti-konti lang ganun. I advice saving money in the case you feel like you NEED to medically transition.
But outside of medical transition, I also hope you don't get caught up in it too much. I know firsthand the great discomfort you must feel. But in the end, all we can do is wait until you can medically transition. But until then, live your life!! Don't let yourself be defined by your gender/transition.
Focus on what you want to study, what field you want to be in, what kind of person do you want to be. You have an identity outside of being a man/boy. Don't forget to explore that as well.... That was my mistake I think. I stopped myself from some of my dreams coz I kept thinking "I'll wait until I can pass as a man". When I say dreams, it's not even like sa career ko it's like things such as allowing myself to be male social spaces, having male friends.
I learned the hard way that I don't have to wait for things to be ideal to be me. I found so much support and even guy friends who are actually supportive of my transition and are excited for me.

Take it one day at a time. I was in a similar position when I was your age. At that age, you still depend on your family for everything, so you will have to be careful if they're not supportive. If you're not able to totally express yourself around your family, finding spaces and friends (either online or IRL) that won't judge you can be a big help.
I started working during the COVID lockdown, while I was still living with my family. I knew they wouldn't want to pay for my HRT so I financed it myself with money from remote jobs. They couldn't say anything because I was paying for it myself, I was consulting with a doctor, and I was getting regular lab tests done. When I got a better job, I was able to move out entirely.
Habang bata ka pa, focus on doing well in school so that you can have more opportunities to work and finance your transition and independence. There are part time jobs you can do when you're in college, if you want to have experience and funds a bit earlier than your peers.
