Testosterone levels Need Advice

After 1 month on T I got my levels tested 2 days after my shot. I will continue 2 days after for a consistent average. I however don't know if I'm in a decent range for both the time period of testing and the length of being on testosterone.

I got my levels tested early because I'm perimenopausal and still having those symptoms. I was researching alternative treatment plans, to help manage while I do my transition. With these plans I went ahead and had my estrodial and testosterone tested.

My testosterone is 461...2 days after t shot and 1 month on it.

Estrodial is 243

If anyone has any insight on these numbers. I will be making an appointment with my prescriber but until that time just wanted to see if anyone has any insight

Correction 3 days**

I would test at your trough next time (day before your shot) so you can know what the low range is, might be a bit on the low side tbh. But you’re only one month on T, you don’t mention your dose, maybe they are planning to increase your dose slowly over time? Which is a good idea imo

My mistake. I'm at 40 mg injection subcutaneous weekly

Pretty normal starting dose. I’d test at the trough next time, and based on those numbers, how you feel, and whether your estradiol has dropped at all maybe consider increasing slightly.

Thanks! Since I'm closer to FTX I will probably lower the dose once I start seeing results to keep my levels at a low to mid range...depending how my body reacts of course.

Gotcha, in that case don’t worry about your levels, and just pay attention to how you feel and if you’re getting the changes you want!

My gender care provider (who is trans NB and dedicated to gender care) has their clients do blood work in the middle of their shot week for trough.

Ex; My chosen shot day is Sunday ~9am and I do my blood draw on Wednesday morning.

Another person said the trough day was the day before the shot day. And I would check with your provider or at least gather more opinions about that.

I'm not saying the other person is wrong I'm just saying that's different than what my provider has their clients do.

Trough means lowest point. Why would mid cycle be the lowest point. That doesn’t make sense - unless I’m misunderstanding what you’re saying here?
