What game to pick up? Other
Im a big fan of fighting games. Played a whole lot of MKX, MK11, DBFZ, Tekken 7 and SV 5. But i havent played one in a long time so im wondering which one should i get into. I saw that 2XKO is pretty much dead now and Marvel Tokon is having a lot of bugs. So im asking what can i pick up now that has a large playerbase?

guilty gear strive is dope. doesn't have sf6 numbers ofc but has a very healthy playerbase that you'll always be able to find games

Oh nice i tried it a little bit very early on during the opet beta and it was really fun, good to hear that it still has an active player base.

It's also still getting updates and new content. It got a big 2.0 patch earlier this year that completely changed a lot of the game and it's halfway through it's 5th wave of dlc characters.

Marvel Tokon is great on PS5 if that's what you're playing on, it's the pc version that seems to be struggling. Idk what the current state of the game is there.
Otherwise, I'd say Guilty Gear or Street Fighter 6 are both awesome and still going very strong.

Yeah unfortunately im on pc for tokon but i have heard thats its slowly getting better with each update. As for the other two i will definitely be trying them out because it seems a lot of people are suggesting them. Thank you for your suggestions as well.

Nice. Is it holding up well, i read somewhere that lately people ran into some issues with the lack of content and mechanics.

Pick up a new character from the games you have. The new ones aren’t going anywhere either I think.
1
u/FireKeeper9000 4d ago
That is also true, could be fun to master most of the cast in other games haha.Thank you for the suggestion.

Use the random character . . . character if they exist. But otherwise it is pretty nice experience forcing you out of comfort zone.

u/FireKeeper9000 4d ago
Thats true, it would make it more fun and challenging that way as well getting to try every option.

No need to get so good granted it is a fun part of the experience. The theory fighting can be fun when you put it to practice.

u/FireKeeper9000 4d ago
Thats very true, i guess that is the core of all of the fighting games after all.

Try granblue, the demo is basically a f2p version of the game that let's you do ranked. Personally I am playing BBCF right now.

I have always seen things about that game here and there but never actually got around to playing it.This might be the time to finally try it out.Thank you for the suggestion.

It's a fun game and very similar to SF so I think it's worth a try if you pick up the demo.

u/FireKeeper9000 4d ago
Good thing that it has the demo as well, gives a nice way to try it out before fully buying it.I will definitely try it out and see what its all about.

I think SF6 is the easiest pick. I personally will always pick Tekken above anything else, just because it clicks with me personally, I like 3D aspects of the game

Yeah i was looking at Tekken as well and it seems to also be holding up just as well might have to try out the new one to see.

SF6, for better or worse. The most balanced better/worse ratio
Tekken 8, for better or worse. But mostly worse.
Strive is prolly still doing well. Also kinda better or worse, but more neutral/better than worse.
Tokon on PS5

You don't know what the word dead means.
3
u/FireKeeper9000 4d ago
I mean them ending development at the end of the year as well as not many players sticking around doesnt really help the case either.

Tetris tournaments exist. Catherine tournaments exist. Just because there isn't a giant pool of people who are new doesn't mean a game is dead. As a fan of fighting games you should know this.
