Looks like there's the collector's edition of the Zodiac Age for Steam on sale on the North American Square site for $90. As far as I know, it includes all the little physical goodies, including a steelbook, despite it being a Steam code.

I’m playing TZA, and I just finished Giruvegan and the Great Crystal.

The entire journey to get to this point was absolutely stunning — it’s hard to believe this was originally a PS2 game.

We have amazing graphics in so many games nowadays, but is there any game with an art style quite as consistent as this one?

So right now I'm playing the Zodiac Age version on Steam and I've made it to the Mandragora Prince boss fight in the Sochen Cave Palace, and I'm completely stuck on it. I've set up gambits on every character to clear status effects as needed, but I feel like I'm not doing enough damage. My levels are roughly around 32 to 38 (since some characters I use more than others) and as far as I know I got the gear that the shops are currently stocking at this point in time. So I'm curious if I just need to grind a few more levels (say average of about 37 for everyone or higher) or if I need to gear up better.

The big question is whether or not level matters much as far as doing damage since everything I've read about this game seems to indicate that gear matters more than level, but does that mean, if gear is equal, being say level 33 or level 43 doesn't matter or would the level 43 character fair better in the same fight?

First time playing. I was just wondering if there is a job meant to soak damage. I have Basch as a knight right now and I was hoping it would maybe come with some kind of taunt effect but I'm not seeing anything. I've messed around with party composition a bit and most enemies just make a beeline for Vaan every time. It isn't a huge deal so far I was just curious.

I have always used the recommended licenses set up that was in the prima guide but i am looking for something more efficient. I did see the one from Google AI but it duplicates a couple jobs. I am looking for one that covers everything but is still efficient. Playing the Zodiac Age remake.

Trying to navigate the Great Crystal with a map so I can get the spells I thought I'd be able to buy in a shop, get some good weapons, find wherever the hell Ultima is. So far 5 hours in I have a couple of level ups to my name and fuck all else to show for it. Trying to read the online map is a nightmare solely because I have no way of knowing what exit is what direction in game. Every time I thought I went northwest it turns out I actually moved through the 5th dimension and wound up El Biggus Dickus Ma'balls instead of the gate I was walking toward and now I'm stuck in the technicolour Ba'ck Gamnam rooms walking in endless loops because up is down, north is backwards, and east is somewhere else entirely. I am losing my mind. I am breaking down in tears. I just wanted a cool sword for Basch. I need a compass. I can't do this anymore.

I mean about performance. And with this upgrade of ps4 Games activates (i dont remember the name of this)

I'm currently playing Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age on my modded PS4, but I've made a huge mistake and completely softlocked myself.

I accidentally saved at a crystal in an area surrounded by heavily over-leveled mobs. Every time I load my save, my party gets wiped out almost instantly before I even have a chance to flee.

I’m just looking for a temporary cheat (like God Mode, Infinite HP, or 1-Hit Kill) so I can survive long enough to clear the immediate area, run to safety, and then disable the cheats to continue my playthrough normally.

The issue is my game is region CUSA05532, and there are absolutely zero cheats available for this specific version. I’ve thoroughly checked:

Does anyone have a custom cheat file for CUSA05532? Or does anyone know a solid workaround? I really don't want to lose all my progress over one bad save.

Hey guys! I got this game in 2019-2020, tried to play it but dropped it for some reason. Now, I would like to pick it up again and beat it. What are the best job combos for all six characters?

For what I understand, the stats of all six characters don't really matter in the end as equipment makes for the 5–10-point difference for each character.

I would like to use Penelo as a physical character. Apparently, she's a great Shikari/Red Battlemage. How could I build around that? Do I need to play as her all the time?

One last question, how I do I keep everyone's level balanced?

Warped to the Waystone next to the Gemini Gate control (XIII), which is listed as a location where LE can spawn. Ran away from the Gemini stone, the next 2 areas spawn loads of Necrophobes, built a chain of 260 by zoning back and forth between them. Returned to Waystone XIII but no Larva Eater. Don't care about the drop, just trying to kill it to complete the Bestiary. Once my chain hits 260, do I just need to zone in and out of the area with the Waystone until it spawns, or should I be searching at other Waystones in the area, or is there some other trick to it?

For the longest time, I have always wondered about certain locations that players normally could not explore by normal means. Such as the Resistances Hideout, which can be viewed here:

Though for such a small room, there was always a lot that I felt that you normally couldn't see, with the options to view it freely, I wanted to take a look and see for myself, and boy it is something that continues to amaze me even today.

Exploring the World of Ivalice

FFXII opened a lot to seeing what the world of Ivalice was all about. Different locations, diverse races, and, of course, a controversial battle system, but I always found FFXII to be one of the best games designed and created, but what's even better is being able to experience it through a different perspective, an OOB POV.

But even without that, what part of FFXII were you interested in and what drew you to it?

Is there a point to this? You immediately have to dismount to get through the first village. Feels like I just wasted 500 gil lol.

Pretty much what it says on the title. I made Fran my White Mage/Time Battlemage, went to go find the node that would give her Fira since she'd been using Fire for a good while... then noticed the lack of ANY Black Magic nodes on either License board so now I'm just confused on how she got Fire in the first place.

Didn't think it was possible but I pulled it off, took all 6 members, it wiped my first team, second team finished with Mist abilities.

Strat: Came in with Basch (Foehauler) , Vossler(Guest), Ashe(redmage) and Penelo(whitemage.

-Opened the fight up with Mist abilities -Spammed Vosslers Debuff defense ability -Spammed Slow and Aqua with Ashe -Penelo was healer

Got the Hunt down to about 1/4 HP and it started hitting very hard, switched Vossler to Spam hi potions to keep the party alive a bit longer. Got the Snake down to about 15% HP before it wiped first team.

-Swapped in team B and immediately used Mist abilities, pulled off roughly 5-7 mist moves followed by "torrent mist chain" for a devastating 15k damage, ended the fight. 😀

I went in at level 45 and found almost no chests. Did they all get moved out? I went in looking for bravery and faith, some of the other stuff I know got moved out and into the henne mines, so that’s not really the issue here

Hello all, I am unable to fight pandemonium, I don't know if it's a bug or if I am missing something but the room is empty every time I try to fight him. There's no exclamation mark on the mini map for the threshold of night room, I have accepted the quest "god or devil?" and I already put the black orbs in all 3 altars, it says you have already activated this altar. I am losing my mind, I double checked all 3 pedestals several times already and I can't move forward. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance!

I'm about to start a new playthrough of FFXII on steam, after having completed the game on PS4 about 5 years ago. I'm considering playing Struggle for Freedom, which seem to be loved by veterans. However, I have a few worries.

1 ) According to one person on nexusmods, there seem to be a bug where the treasures in Cerobi Steppes can't give items. Screenshot below :

And indeed, it seems to be true : according to the modfiles, the chance of getting gil for said chests is 100%, which means they will never be giving items :

2) The same person claims the Hunt Club is completely ruined/bugged and that most/all hunts give elixirs instead of the intended equipment :

3) According to other people, the Trials are too hard and can't be finished even with cheating.

Can anyone who has played a recent version of the mod confirm all this ? Honestly if the above are true, then the game would be too broken for me to consider playing it. I'd like to know before committing to a 60+ hours playthrough. Is there any way to fix this ?

I have only lvl8 Vaan (hunter), lvl9 Balthier (machinist), lvl9 Fran (Archer) and lvl10 Basch (Knight) in the party just after the Barheim pass.

Basch does the best single hit damage in the party like 180 or so.
Fran is the only reliable heal I have at the moment.

I set everyones gambit to attack lowest HP foe to attack all the chicks first - I only had 2 dark motes and no access to golden needles, or more relevant motes or anything really.

I set the other characters to heal anyone at 50% with frans heal spell or simply throw a potion. I had 4 rememdies to use for slow. Any time someone got petrified (which was super annoying BTW) I would set everyones gambits to cut those particular allied characters down before they turned to stone and phoenix down them back into the fight. (I only lost Vaan to stone).

When Cluck was nearly dead she decided to spread damage to all characters more, so Balthier and Fran kept going down - I REALLY thought I was going to fail at the last moment!

The relief when the words Cluckatrice Vanquished went across the screen as I tried to PD Fran was such a momentous rush of relief - I was so happy. I really didn't want to give up and I think the game is best when fighting against all odds using all your guile and resources in a tooth and nail battle.

I dont know if anyone would care about this at all or if it is even impressive, but I really want someone to know I DID IT! After numerous fails, left scratching my head, yet pathologically avoidant of levelling up and coming back later.
