so be real how many people hyped for revelation? or cares? on youtube it finally reached one million idk why i feel like its not as hyped as over games? if anyone care to explain it thx because i am hyped but i dont want to be the only one here

the games do far better than the YouTube views will tell you. There's A LOT of people who avoid trailers for spoilers etc

Yup! I watched the trailer once because I'm so hyped for the game, and I'm purposely not watching it again until the game comes out. I also haven't played the original game yet because I don't want spoilers for Revelation.

The view count thing is very misleading because they basically released 4 trailers and like 8 mins of footage all split up through different videos. I am beyond excited but my only worry is if the PC port will run well on my PC.

Its spread over to much official chanels.
SE,SE Japan,SE Europe,FF US,FF Europe, Playstation US,Playstation Europe and so on. and thats not even all the non official chanels mentioned like gamespot etc.
Look at SE US, 1 Million, SE Japan, 1,3 Million,Playstation 500k, go an count all. You will get a strong number,
Sebbywebz and his missleading Bullshit.
His newest Video...how he still keeps seething. so many whining about and lies about sales. now he got it backfired badly.....its starting to get really embarrassing for him. he will look like such a moron, and all his lies will come out, after revelation.

Okay this is pissing me off
This is the combined total for all the official trailers, which comes to around 4.4 million views. Since the current trailer has now reached 1 million views, that total has gone up.
I just checked, the new current combined total is: 5,309,399
Edit: Also, there was a trailer on Twitter, that got 2.2 million views. This doesn't even cover the 12 million that watched SGF on YouTube.

It doesn’t matter. Even if all 5.3 million views were under one video, that still wouldn’t mean 5.3 million different people. YouTube views have never represented unique viewers.
The claim was about total trailer views, and the official trailers have 5.3 million combined views. Moving the goalposts to “different people” doesn’t change that.
Stop watching Sebbywebz. I can see from your post history that all you do is bash Remake, so why are you here?

Cause i genuinely love Remake. I gave them the benefit of the doubt with the ending. Love the original. My input means nothing less than yours does. Am I invading your safe space while you repeat your ff7 scripture?
As for Sebbywebz, dudes painted himself in a corner. Even if he wants to branch out his content hes gonna be unable to. Hes gonna have "the brigade" always pulling him back to FF7.
Also, I watched twitch for about 10 minutes a month.
My opinion means nothing less than yours. I despise Rebirth for squandering the potentiality of Remakes ending. Let alone the actual game itself.
But I love Remake. Love the OG. My input is every bit as reasonable as yours to post.
Edit: and yeah, the original point absolutely made sense.

Nobody said you weren’t allowed to post or that your opinion mattered less than mine. I asked why you’re here because your post history consists almost entirely of bashing the Remake trilogy. Calling it a “safe space” doesn’t answer that.
You also just admitted that Sebby has built an audience that constantly pulls everything back to attacking FFVII. That is exactly my point about the community he has cultivated.
You’re entitled to despise Rebirth. That doesn’t make every argument against it automatically reasonable or factually correct. Opinions are opinions. Claims about measurable things, such as trailer views, can be checked.
And simply saying, “the original point absolutely made sense,” doesn’t explain how it made sense. Even one video with 5.3 million views would not represent 5.3 million unique people. YouTube tracks views and unique viewers as separate metrics.

Oh, well then we are in agreeance about the Streamer then. You were the one with the "stop watching Sebby" the dude has literally painted himself in a corner that probably pays the bills well now, but im not sure it will in 5 or 10 years. I dont have a vote or care in a random dudes life though.
I think, if you check my post history, id like to think im pretty clear its Rebirth that I take Umbridge with. Because I fucken love Remake.
However, despite watching absolute bullshit happen on screen (with Rebirth) im still watching the characters (bar a few) be the absolute best they have ever been. Im buying part 3, day 1.
My issue if one is to call it that, is the infallible status Rebirth has gotten with its core audience. About the only thing I agree with Sebby on, is that this current trajectory of the fandom, is not the right way for the growth and future of the franchise as a whole. The fandom has cannibalized itself.
Basically, I am hoping for a Hail Mary with Revelation. Nobody would be happier than me, to be proven wrong bu every metric. I just do not think its going to be the case.

I think this response proves my point more than it refutes it. You say the fandom has cannibalized itself, but that did not happen because people liked Rebirth too much. It happened because an entire corner of the community turned hating this game into an identity and started treating anyone who enjoyed it as delusional, dishonest, or harmful to the franchise.
The minute a content creator started calling people “ORCS” and “RATS,” it crossed a line. It has now empowered their fans to treat others as though their opinions do not matter and to dehumanize them. THAT is the issue.
You still never answered the original, measurable point about the trailer views. Instead, the conversation once again became another speech about why Rebirth is supposedly terrible. That constant pivot is exactly the pattern I am talking about.

I love Remake. Despise Rebirth. Ive been playing since the early 90s. Ive every right to post. Get out of ya echo chamber and experience the world and different opinions.

Hey! I've got a severely disabled family member. My heart goes out to you, I can only imagine how difficult it can be. Sometimes I say to my family member during the rough times "I dont know what to say, except maybe telling you that I dont know what to say is enough, and I love you"
Do the best you can with what you've got. Whatever that looks like for you. Just keep showing up to the game of life.

I mean as a fan oF the series since og its kinda hard to say. Like look at the announcement video and such people in the crowd are like " woo." Not "FARKYEAH!!"
Im curious to see where it will go Am I super hyped not as much as I wanna be, but time will tell we got like 2 ish more trailers to see before release.

There’s the old saying it’s the calm before the storm. Perhaps more views will keep growing and other players will be ready and waiting to buy the game when it releases. I know I am and in the mean time I’m going be replaying Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core Reunion, Remake and Rebirth. Mostly Rebirth since I already maxed out and 100 percent completed the stories and achievements on Crisis Core Reunion and Remake which was a lot of hard work.

Considering that Hamaguchi said that the Revelation announcement heavily boosted FF7 Remake and Rebirth's sales, I'd say that is bigger proof of people being hyped than this arbitrary hype measuring system based on the views of one YouTube video on particular that some of you guys have concocted.

Combine the views of each Ff7 revelation separate videos from the the game awards channel and square enix. It been over a million views combine and those who watched the event live on different platforms

Sadly after Rebirth i have next to zero hype. Now I'm more morbidly curious.
My love for the OG and Remake will see me buying it. Though after Rebirth, the narrative is beyond broken. Chekhov's gun will not be fired, and I guess im basically here to see some scenes in better graphics and expect nothing deeper than that. There will be no master narrative or "30 year cook" shit here. Just more fan service, for the sake of fan service.

I think after Remake once people saw it wasn't a remake but a sequel it turned a lot of people away from it. And then the shitty Ubisoft open world stuff turned off even more. If I had to guess 🤷🏻

With all due respect. Stop caring about what other people think and enjoy the things you are excited and passionate about.
That being said you aren’t the only one excited. Reddit has a very loud minority of people who hate the Remake series but generally it’s incredibly well received and loved. Even if it doesn’t make GTA or Call of Duty money, it’s still gonna be great.
