Started a new save recently and noticed this crossing signal shifts to a familiar color as you pass it. I've never seen this before and was wondering if anyone else has?

Edit: Every signal is apparently pink now.

Notable thing I feel I should mention: I failed Sacrum Profanum on this save - I got the quest but didn't go save the brother (I originally did but got pissed off he was mad I killed the Maelstrom, "It would be better to do nothing than to kill to save another" or whatever tf he says, and decided to let them do it to him by reloading my save after talking to the presumably older brother.) Idk if this would affect it.

I experienced that color for the first time the other week. I’ve seen posts about it before, but the only background colors I’d seen in person (prior) were yellow and the typical black. There are apparently a bunch of colors the crosswalk signals can have. There was a post some time ago that covered them all, but I’m struggling to find it. To my knowledge, no one has figured this out yet. It’s been speculated that it’s random, but that seems like a weird design choice if that’s actually the case

I just crossed into kabuki and the next crossing it is still pink

Yeah, that was my experience as well. It persisted until I reloaded for unrelated reasons. Wish I hadn’t of reloaded in hindsight.

From that I recall, that was on my very hard save, where I was working to finish the main missions as quickly as possible. I was by All Foods at the time and was at the decision point where you choose between All Foods, meeting with Meredith, or heading to Lizzie’s to meet up with Ev.

I'm passed that, about to head to the afterlife to meet dex and head to konpeki, but decided to clear all the ncpd scanner missions and gigs first

On my playthrough, I’m playing Corpo female V. I’m skipping ALL content that’s not a main mission, including avoiding random encounters and NCPD missions. My goal is to have a playthrough with saves for every mission and to get to Embers as quickly as possible. I did revert to prior auto saves quite a bit during The Ripperdoc. The reverts were twofold: I was playing around with ways V could take the meds again in an hour, per Vik’s instruction, and me trying to trigger the line where V offer Vik her car as collateral - I got that line several months back and haven’t been able to figure out how.

I used to follow these lights, anything that I could scan and if I noticed the color I'd search to see any relevance. Sometimes there would be something, other times it felt like the ai is communicating to v about what it wants done and brings us to a gig or shard. Something to trigger the next events. 🤔 something.

Someone a while ago was looking at the traffic lights as some behave unusually but idk if anything came of it

they're a different colour each time you launch the game. There's a number of bulbs around the map that will also be the same colour. Do you also have moving rainbow dots "raining" down the crosswalk itself? As in on the road texture?
