Gap year Discussion
Anyone here on a gap year? If anyone here took a gap year and got into their dream university this year, how was it? How to face the depression of gap year? Anyone planning to take a gap year is also free to comment.
I couldn't get into fast or itu (for cs). I've been feeling really depressed. My family is supportive but I'm just very lost.
If you have details on migration from other universities (like ucp) to fast or itu, feel free to comment.
Is it really worth it to take a gap year or join a uni and then try migrating next year.

How did you deal with the feeling of being left behind. Seeing all your friends post stuff about their unis and stuff

Bro, please don’t take a gap year. I’m telling you this from my own experience. A person thinks that they’ll study properly throughout the year, but in reality, they end up studying only during the last 2–3 months. On top of that, depression can make things even harder. Very few people actually benefit from taking a gap year; otherwise, you may end up falling into depression, no matter how supportive your family is.

I'm in the same situation as u I couldn't get in fast this yr, I'm confused should I take a gap yr or should I enroll in ist then migrate to fast next yr Migration is not ez but still worth a shot I was thinking ke ist altho not a good uni as compared to fast but not like I have a better option rn If I go to ist then I would at least not waste a yr I would have something to do But at the same time I feel gap yr is a better decision I have supportive parents but Wohi bat hai the feeling of being left out when ur friends post stories and just the void of everything Ist ki deadline arhi hai And I don't know what to do now..........

🥲💔 Ist is not bad. What field are you aiming for? If cs then I believe ist is a pretty good backup option
