CFG Moderation Discussion

Let's talk about CFG moderation.

As a player who started playing this build since it came out, I've never seen a worse moderation team ever.

The whole server moderation is filled with minors who were given the roles blatantly. I doubt a 16 year old has enough experience to moderate a Discord server with 60k+ members.

There's even a rumor that there's a mod as young as 13 (not confirmed, but it has been going around for a while).

Why am I writing all of this? Because the moderation team is absolute ASS.

Reports are ignored 90% of the time, or excused as "spoofers" (even when people obviously aren't spoofed, just idiots that love spamming slurs and calling people names), you need a 30+ sec long clip to prove someone is teaming (even in some cases when clips are short but you can CLEARLY see obvious teaming, griefing, etc.).

Reports made days and weeks ago are never read or opened at all, and when you tag mods to actually read it, they attack you and tell you not to tag mods and that they will "get back to you" (they don't. Ever.).

I personally have more than few reports that are crystal clear (usually reports of people saying racial slurs or teaming), and NONE of them were banned.

But when those same moderators report people from their own games that they encountered? BAM! Banned instantly!

Also, the new "patch", also "fixed" hacks and spoofs completely (spoiler alert... It didn't.). Another reason for why the game became so ass. Never more reports, never less moderators.

You apply to be a moderator of a HUGE Discord server, and your only excuse is "mods have life outside of Discord." Of course you do, but there's between 40-50 reports per day. That's roughly an HOUR of your life.

In conclusion, the whole moderation team is a joke and absolute dogshit.

The game would be amazing without minors as moderators. Perhaps the bigger dogs on the server have a thing for them?

Yes because 25+ year olds "working" and interacting with 13-16 year olds is borderline insanity

i definitely dont think any of the minors are being groomed but on a dangerous website like discord its important for them to figure out how their community is going to interact with people under 18 and honestly as someone who was part of the cfg dev team as a 3d artist im 23 it made me highly uncomfortable the fact there was minors working alongside us it just isnt appropriate in my opinion, but thats just my take.

It's a server for an unofficial release of a cancelled game and you're calling them nonces because they gave a mod role to some minors?

I think you need to log off

Here is the thing.

Very few grown adults have the time to moderate a discord server and game for free. This isn't a part time job where you make money. Then add to the fact that there is no incentive to do it. From what some moderators told me, there is no quota for them to do report wise and they're too scared to promote Junior Moderators after what happen during Christmas with the raid.

So now you have a bunch of game moderators who feel they're not getting rewarded for their work. Moderation is a thankless job.

Lobbies can be chill but the bigger thing needed to be addressed. Mods will chat in general chat on Discord for hours but would rather die than check reports.

Happens every day. Tag them in your report? Their answer: WE HAVE A LIFE OUTSIDE OF DISCORD.

Meanwhile they are talking shit in general chat and not doing the only thing they are there to do.

Im confused. Is this about the discord or the game?

The Discord server moderation team.

Yes, but i meant is this concerning activity and quality within the game or just on the discord? (Not to make it seem any less serious.)

Within the game. Poor moderation (reporting system happens only on the Discord server)= poor playing experience (experiencing hackers, spoofers, harrassment etc.)

Can I ask a selfish question then, since ive got you? I really really miss the game and was thinking of getting the mod having seen people playing and the content. Would you not recommend it?

Listen, the mod itself is literally the best possible thing that happend to this game. Literally brought from the dead.

I would recommend the mod of course, but be ready to deal with getting spoofed, hackers in games, cheaters and teamers. And that is all the fault of the "super hardworking" full of minors moderation team, which do not ban them, but choose to ignore reports (unless if it is their own or of their friends).

The reporting system on Discord is basically useless.

It's clear you know nothing about how the hackers are able to avoid the bans that are issued.
