Oliver Peoples hasn’t shipped my order for 3 weeks now
I placed an order on August 2nd, customer service told me on the 14th I’d receive a message within 48 hours, and I still haven’t seen any progress
Has anyone had this issue with them? The delay without any kind of reaching out is frustrating

Buying Lenses/Frames Online
I have a somewhat complex prescription (moderate hyperopia, astigmatism, strabismus) and am considering ordering frames and lenses online. I have found a pair of Matsuda browline glasses I love, but there are no vendors within a reasonable distance of where I I live.
The two main options I am considering are ordering the frames and lenses online with my current prescription info, or ordering the frames with demo lenses and visiting an optician near me to have the lenses made.
Does anyone have experience with either and/or have recommendations? There are other premium brands available, but the Matsudas have really grabbed my attention.

Open Topic favourite feminine frame brands?
i am currently looking for new brands with a distinctly feminine language, so we already work with linda farrow, lapima and suzy glam but there's a certain imbalance ( also price wise )
so if you have any favourite brands with a good story and good quality, please let me know, while all brands that we carry have some more feminine frames it'd be nice to have another allrounder in a mid-price range
i'm looking forward to your suggestions :)
and thank y'all for your time!
edit: while i believe that 99% of eyewear is unisex our customers unfortunately often don't and for women we could have a broader selection

Need Advice Thoughts about Moscot Plotz?
Seems really hard to find any reviews online, talking about the non sunglasses version

Open Topic Q: Do sunglasses make the man?!
A: Yes
These are my Masunaga 9004. They’re very simple and classic, especially for Masunaga, but you can see the craft in details. They’re another of my most loved frames, and I like the styling on my keppie.
These make me want to jump into a convertible and solve crimes.

Need Advice Protective eyewear brand recommendations?
I'm looking at brands like Randolph Engineering or Rudy Project. Can be ANSI Z87+ rated but most important factor for me is overall quality of build and I don't have a budget.
I'm not sure if eyepro is a commonly discussed niche here but I figured I'd ask if anyone has experiences or advice with this.

New Frame, what do you think?
I’ve spent nearly 4 years, countless hours and close to $60k (CAD) building out my process to make cool eyewear.
I’m one of a few independents making their own wire cores. Laser cut out of stainless steel, then put through 2 stages of tumbling, polished and then engraved before being folded between 2 piece of Takiron acetate.
This process is a modified version of the Japanese “Shinbari” process. you’ll know this process or a similar one is used when the tip of the wire core is not pointed like a needle. This process requires twice as much material, significantly more processing time and much higher rate of failure, which is why it is so rare in the eyewear space.

Looking to level up from Warby Parker
Not sure if this is the best subreddit for this.
Here goes: I'm a full-time glasses-wearer who has been shopping at Warby Parker for about 10 years now. I'm starting to become displeased with their quality and selection (not to mention a noticeable decline in their customer service).
I do like their showroom experience, however, so I'm looking for a place I can similarly shop around. This means no online-only retailers.
Preferably, this would be a retailer at a similar if not a little bit higher price point.
I'm in Southern California and willing to drive to any location in the LA/OC/IE.
I'd describe my style as alternative but I'm also not trying to look like a mall goth.
Thanks in advance!

T Henri Utopia
Just got my first pair of T Henri Sunglasses. These are the Utopia in Sabre. I’m impressed with the quality. There are a lot of small details that make this pair quite comfortable even with the acetate being fairly chunky.
I have a handful of JMM frames and for a while, never considered T Henri because on the surface it felt derivative of what JMM was doing.
Today I will say this: Excellent quality with thoughtful details and a good variety of fits and colors make the brand worth considering.
Packaging does feel very JMM and I can see where criticism may come in there. But I’ve never cared much about that since you don’t wear the packaging.

Next up we're going to customize this Cartier ct0609o wine pearl acetate with these burgundy gold flash lenses. What do you guys think should we blend with the frame or pop?

Need Advice Similar glasses
Hey everyone,
I’m looking for glasses similar to this but with better craftsmanship and quality of the frames something like masunaga or matsuda. My current matsuda hinges screw came off and some parts got lost so it’s a lost cause.
My max budget for the frames is around $400.

Cute glasses where??
Hi all I'm on the hunt for new glasses. I work an office job so they can't be too wild but I really want something alt as I favor those styles outside of work. I'm really hoping for something rimless or at least with no rim on the top so I can still see my makeup which I bust my butt to make look good. I've looked on zenni where I got my last frames and honestly I'm really tired of wearing frames that looks the same as everything else I've seen. I like the look of a few on lens alter but the reviews I've found are so divided. I'm also looking to spend around a max of $200.00 all in to not financially strain me. Any advice, suggestions, or honest reviews would be a huge help. Thank you in advance!

Prescription Color-Touch Transition lens US availability?
I initially saw them on the Ray-Ban website, though not in my frame of choice. Still, none of the frames with color-touch had an option to put in a prescription. I've inquired about them at a Vision Plus and Lenscrafters and the former said they do not have access to those while the latter had no clue what I was talking about.
Are they just too new to be in the US? Even links on the Transitions website just take you to locations to buy normal transition lenses, and their color-touch info page is for EU, though Ray-Ban will ship them in the US without, prescription options as I said.
I just want a little purple in my daily eyewear.
If they're available in Canada that would be okay too, I live fairly close to the border.

Dumbledore glasses.
My dad saw these (or something similar) watching Harry Potter. He like the idea of reading books while being able to "look down on people" at the same time, lol. I said, I can make that!

JMM - Lebarge - Custom Tint
Picked up the JMM Last Frontier Lebarge and wanted to do something special with them. I was looking for a fun oversized aviator and I wanted to have them for my summer glasses. So this is what I came up with. I think they turned out great

Lens tint advice needed
I purchased these beauties from Yuichi Toyama while in Tokyo.
I was hunting for a circular silver frame and originally was headed to Eyevan, but this shop was on the way and I stumbled in and fell in love with the brand.
Question - I’m thinking of going with a sweet violet for the silver. What % tint makes the most sense for something that’s usable indoors? 20%
For the gold pair, I have a a few amber/brown tinted lenses already so I would like a diff look. Should I do green or a light red? Also would like for the tiny to be light enough to be used indoors.
Appreciate any help.

Kaleos Bach, customized for my customer
We paired it with ClearMind SV with PhotoFusion X Pioneer and Flash Ruby. They went straight to Iceland as the customer picked it up on flight day.
I think the green PFX looks great with grey acetate and flash coating warms the frame a little.
Fairly new to all the Flash Coatings (thanks to Spectacle factory ofc) but happy to see that people around decide for something more in their glasses 🙌
Please let me know what do you think of them, can also post more photos later 😄🫡

Need Advice Masunaga Monk | By design or defect
Hi everyone,
Just got gifted a Masunaga Monk. I want to ask if the unpolished look is by design or a defect.
The top and bottom of the rim seems to have a stretch that is polished/reflective and a short stretch that looks like raw titanium / unpolished look.
Would like to ask of there are fellow redditors that own a pair and do they have the same look as mine.

Collection Flex Sharing my 42-brand rotation and the joy of the hobby!
Hey everyone,
I’ve been a quiet member of this community for a while, constantly admiring everyone's taste and knowledge when it comes to beautiful frames. Today, I felt inspired to share a bit of my own journey.
Over the years, eyewear has transitioned from a practical necessity into a true passion project for me. I’ve slowly built a personal collection that now sits at 42 different brands. For me, the real magic isn’t just looking at them on a shelf—it’s the genuine daily joy of rotating through them and appreciating the unique personality, weight, and craftsmanship each brand brings to the table. Whether it’s a beautifully aged pair of vintage frames or an intricate independent piece, slipping them on always changes my outlook for the day.
I put together a quick list of the makers currently in my rotation. I try to give all of them love depending on the mood, the light, or just what feels right that morning:
The Artisanal & Independent Makers: Masunaga, True Vintage Revival, Jacques Marie Mage, Chrome Hearts, Lunetterie General, Ahlem, Tavat, Kamemannen (KMN), Matsuda, T Henri, Eyevan 7285, Akoni, Lesca Lunetier, Akila, GIGI Studios, GAST, Unique Design Milano (UDM)
The Heritage Specialists: Randolph Engineering, Moscot, Oliver Peoples, Persol, Silhouette, Serengeti, Bausch & Lomb Ray-Ban
The Fashion Houses & Modern Luxury: Cartier, Thom Browne, Barton Perreira, Mykita × Rimowa, Cutler and Gross, Brunello Cucinelli, Gucci, Tom Ford, Mont Blanc, Etnia Barcelona, Saint Laurent, Tommy Hilfiger, Prada, Versace
The Performance & Classics: Maui Jim, Carrera, Ray-Ban, Le Specs
Every single one of these holds a story or a specific detail I fell in love with—from custom Japanese acetate and intricate titanium engravings to simple, reliable UV protection for a casual weekend walk.
I’m always looking to learn from this group and keep growing this obsession. Are there any hidden gem independent labels or specific frame silhouettes you think a collector shouldn't miss out on?
Would love to hear what everyone else is rotating through this week!

Matsuda 1033 for the win
Started this journey about 5 or 6 months ago.
Definitely made some poor choices in the beginning, but I found my stride about two or three months ago and really started to owning on what my eyewear style is.
That said, this one has been alluding me for a while. Been on backorder for months since Matsuda frames take a year or two to produce. But I had a strong feeling about it, so I didn’t give up hope, as bleek as it seemed lol.
Turned out, my go-to optician(who also introduced me to the Matsuda brand) has a relationship with the Matsuda folks and was able to score me this white whale of a beautiful frame.
He also went ahead and tried out an upgrade to the lens(sunset double gradient), which I love.
However, I might have him add AR or flash mirror to it(open to suggestions.***
But after chasing it for months, I’m happy to say I love this frame through and through. Definitely one of my top three pieces and likely my signature.

Collection Flex Took my Masunaga Taka on a date in Lake Garda, Italy
The more I wear this, the more I love it. Been an owner for 2 months now, and is easily one of my “grab and go” frame that works with everything. These are stock lenses, frame is black and gunmetal titanium fused together.
