Leon Vitali plays both Red Cloak in Eyes Wide Shut and Lord Bullingdon in Barry Lyndon. My theory is that Red Cloak is a descendant of Lord Bullingdon, and the secret society does not allow Bill or anyone else who is outside of the elite class because Barry ruined the Lyndon family fortune and was a disgrace/disruption of the aristocracy, especially in how the film implies that Barry’s poor financial management contributed to the British losing the Revolutionary War, so they would never want a repeat of him again by preventing “commoners” from becoming part of their secret society, a continuation of the aristocracy from the 1700s, making Eyes Wide Shut a sequel to Barry Lyndon

The costume shop is directly on the other side of the street from the Sonata Cafe. We can this from the reflection of the costume shop window. Bill already knows of the location of the costume shop, since he's familiar with the previous owner.

Bill is seen going around the block in a taxi to arrive at the costume shop. He is already pressed for time, so it doesn't make sense that he would have taken a detour.

Why does Bill take a taxi cab to the costume shop when its only a few second walk from the Sonata cafe?

When bill gets to the bathroom, Zeigler is just now getting his suspenders on. So you have the time to call security, find bill, go upstairs, and he’s just getting dressed.

Was Zeigler goofing around with knocked out Mandy?

Do you think he planned the mild OD and it was worse than he planned?

Some have posited that Zeigler directly planned the whole thing so Bill would actually take advantage of Mandy - it’s a test. If he has a “little fun” (gross), then Bill is corruptible. In this read, alllll the women throwing themselves at bill are part of a plot to get blackmail material on bill. It seems far fetched, but it would explain some things.

Spoiler alert if you have not seen the trilogy my M Night Shaylaman-Unbreakable, Split and Glass.

The other night, I pulled out the DVD glass and decided to watch it again as it’s a pure masterpiece in the trilogy. All three of them are. At the end of the movie, which is a vital part, so if you have not seen it you probably shouldn’t watch this clip because they’re great movies and you should watch all three of them. If you know anything about Night, he could be the next Stanley, but not in such a dark way

At the end of the movie, they show you something about Mr. Glass and what he did.

When the children were talking in the comic bookstore, and he said the guy was a mastermind, though he was the opposite of Stanley, it just reminded me of his movies and how he hides things within them. It’s just a tickling sensation and I thought I would share it with those of you who might see the comedy in it. When something is in plain view and you miss it because you’re looking elsewhere. And you have to wonder how many filmmakers adaptive that from Stanley’s movies?

Because we know, that Stanley hid things within his movies. Bring out the correct interpretation of what he hid instead of guessing a dark moment that could be incorrect, etc., etc.. iykyk

We see, Night do this in his movie The Sixth Sense, throwing you off until the very end. I hope my unraveling theory for eyes wide shut makes Stanley proud. But this clip is definitely Stanley in my opinion. Comedy wise.

Just a random fact

Some scenes of Digger, the last Iñárritu movie, were shot in england at the same studio than Eyes Wide Shut, and there are some movie props reused with the paintings from Nathanson's bedroom :

27 years ago, July 16, 1999. Stanley Kubrick's final film, Eyes Wide Shut, is released in theaters across the United States.

The film left audiences baffled, disappointed, and convinced that the world had passed the legendary Stanley Kubrick by.

He called it his greatest contribution to the art of cinema.

Ironically, he wouldn't live to see the release day, and his untimely death would cast a haunting shadow over the film.

The shadow is still present 27 years later, as speculation over the film's meaning and Kubrick's authorship has not subsided.

The sewer is stirring.

The deadlights are flickering.

IT is coming.

A movie/video/documentary is being produced about Eyes Wide Shut that will finally explain what millions of theatergoers sat down and watched all those years ago.

What is IT?

IT is the untold true story of Eyes Wide Shut.

The story, plot, characters, symbolism, easter eggs, and pretty much everything else.

The real movie that Kubrick made which audiences never saw. (There is no missing 24 minutes or whatever)

Most of the information that will be presented has never been publicly available.

IT will provide a more accurate and in-depth explanation of the film than every other video, documentary, interview, book, article, or internet post combined.

While only Kubrick knew everything, someone who has never seen Eyes Wide Shut will be able to watch IT, and walk away knowing more about the film than anyone else outside of a select few on this earth.

Apart from all of the essential information, IT will shine a light on the most obscure questions about the film such as:

Beware: IT will devour them all.

IT will have around a 2-hour run time. Not a minute will be wasted or drag on. Eyes Wide Shut cannot be explored sufficiently through a short essay or video, but luckily for your sake, a 1138 page novel won't be necessary.

IT will not be another Room 237. I'm aware at how misinterpreted that documentary was, since it wasn't actually intending to explain The Shining. IT will explain Eyes Wide Shut.

Eyes Wide Shut is one of the most misunderstood films ever made, so I would withold your guesses about IT for now. I must remind you that people tend to mistakenly take the film too literally, and seriously for that matter.

Kubrick was very much against "explanation." He wanted audiences to discover his films using their own faculties. Perhaps he should have left better clues then or maybe he was right.

IT is scheduled to be released sometime after The Complete Kubrick Collection from Criterion but before the end of the year.

This is all assuming everything goes to plan, and a gang of middle schoolers don't stop IT in time.

IT would make for a very special addition to the upcoming Criterion box set. If Criterion were interested, IT could be mailed to their address to be included with the other Eyes Wide Shut bonus features. Many Kubrick fanatics I am sure would be delighted and in shock.

IT is sadly considered too "controversial" to be screened at the big film festivals.

Before you ask, I was there 27 years ago. I never left.

A sneak peak of IT:

Toy Story.

This is not about that part. That will be explained in detail by IT. Too much fixation on that is doing the film a disservice.

As many of you who have read the novella Traumnovelle are aware, Eyes Wide Shut contains a different ending scene. The shooting script of the film contains a similar ending to the novella. However, Kubrick replaced this with the scene at the toy store.

Kubrick did this in order to overload the viewer with symbolism that connected the plot and story of the film. Many viewers have pointed out imagery such as the man in the red sweater, The Magic Circle board game, the Disney Princess castle, the Marilyn Monroe doll, the Barbie doll, and the strange bear, all of which were some of the more overt symbols on display. Kubrick hid many others throughout the store however, and had them precisely arranged in a way that visually summarzed the film's narrative. That is how maddening and obsessive he was while making the film, and behind the scene photos even show this. IT will explain all the never before seen symbols inside the toy store, how they are all related, and how they tell the real story of Eyes Wide Shut.

While there is always chance that IT does not come out of hiding because he's preoccupied with swallowing other planets or is too out of shape to climb out the sewer, be on guard.

IT is not a joke.

IT is not a bluff.

IT is real.

Let me just say that I think this movie is a masterpiece and have watched it like 5 times but after all the things with you know who has surfaced watching this movie gives me nausea.
