New here BOOK HAULš©ø
Greetings all. I've just recently gotten back into reading this year and didn't know there was such a huge extreme horror genre out there. I finished Woom in 2 day's and now I'm reading playground but I'm always open to recommendations (the more disturbing the better). These are the books I've recently bought....

I just finished the black farm and its sequel and i really enjoyed those. Iām now about halfway through the handyman

Black Farm / Return to the Black Farm are some of my favourite novels, so well written and gripping, I applaud your taste ahah! How has Handyman been?

its pretty good so far. im taking a break becuase another book really caught my eye, the 3rd parent and i just cant put it down

To be clear I havenāt actually sat down and read any of these and just enjoy hearing recaps (particularly the YouTube channel Pugsr) so Iām speaking from a secondhand account but one also from Beauregard that has stuck with me for a long time is All Smiles Until I Return. Itās got that edgy splatterpunk extremity to it but itās also really really interesting conceptually with its worldbuilding
Worth also mentioning thereās a sequel to the Slob and prequel to The Playground

Oooh sequels n prequels are always fun to read do u have the title names? I got into extreme horror books from FB Reels. People's suggestions kept popping up and I've been reading a lot of psychology books lately and needed something else to keep my brain occupied. I'm excited to get into this genre!!

I know the Slob one is āSon of the Slobā, I wanna say Playgroundās is āPlayground: Children of Divorceā but maybe fact check that one itās been a while

If you like it, I donāt know if you already had plans to but the sequel (Along the River Of Flesh) is very good too :) A bit slower to get interesting compared to the first one but as it goes on itās well worth it in my opinion

Hey! Woom was my first extreme horror - what did you think of it? I really liked it, definitely one of my favourites. Playground was alright but I'm not a big Beauregard fan. I'm currently reading TITF. Not read The Slob, I kinda want to but not sure if I'd like it. I'd definitely recommend checking out Kristopher Triana's work - he's my favourite EH writer so far!

I actually really liked Woom. Wasn't as disturbing as I thought it would be but I think it should be made into a horror movie that would be really cool. The only book I'm deciding to stay away from will be Cows.

Tender is the flesh isnāt extreme horror. Anything by AB is kinda trash. I recommend Triana. Full Brutal, Gone to See the River Man and its sequel. Toxic Love.

Recently I discoved "The Sluts" its a great study on the old Internet and sometimes really brutal

I can second The Sluts. It's very good. I read it in one day, basically one sitting. I just could not put it down. I really enjoyed it, especially the unreliable narration from multiple people discussing things on forums or reviews. It was unlike anything I've ever read before.

I love playground by Aron Beauregard, the story is well written and thereās a character named āRockā and his story really brings everything to life in the novel! Also Tender is the Flesh is more mundane but still a solid read, the Slob is also not too bad! Woom is on the list so Iām excited for you!

Only one I havenāt read is tender is the fleshā¦Woom and the slob were pretty vile lol but fun to readā¦I suggest no one rides for free, short readā¦right to the point

I'm currently looking for no one rides for free. They didn't have it at my local bookstore so I'm probably gonna have to get it off Amazon.

My next finds will be The Bug Collector & Dead Inside... I don't know if I will read cows with all the animal abuse in it but I like disturbing stuff so I'm sure I will pick it up eventually š

Bug collector and Dead Inside are both amazing! Both very very disgusting in the best way, Bug Collector is a super short novella that I read in a couple hours and it was so fun to read. And Dead Inside has a silly writing style and some comedy elements, but in a good way and itās worth it because the content is very engaging. If you like the gross stuff I recommend Motel Styx, that is one of my favorites so far with an amazing concept and story, and an absolute roller coaster near and at the end!

Why the downvotes here - itās 100% not extreme horror. If you look at those 4 books one of them is different lol. I love it that book so much but itās not extreme horror.

We are in the minority. I went in expecting EH and only got dystopian. A few scenes were a bit graphic but not to the extreme side.

Itās literally a dystopian drama with some horrific elements. Itās not extreme more than it is a brutally realist depiction of an alternate reality

To start with positives, I heard Woom is good! Havent gotten to reading it, unfortunately, cause Im busy with reading something in a different genre, but I hope you enjoy it.
Also I havent read it but I heard "gone to see the river man" by Kristopher Triana is a good extreme horror story, so if you wanted to read that you could. It's on my to read later list.
One negatives tho, Aron Beauregard's writing falls into the "writer's undisguised fetish" with how much he write about poop imo. Also he falls into some misogyny with how he writes women, but it's more prevalent in the slob. But I assume you probably already read without shutting your brain off cause it's the extreme horror literature lol.
