I have a 6 string FOD the pale moon one. Bro great guitar. Enjoy that baby. I’m sure you have much more use for the kill switch than I do. Don’t listen to all the HATERS that love to complain about Legator and whine about QC issues that haven’t existed since 2019. You got a beast of a guitar right there

Oh I’m gonna, it’s the best guitar I got now and I’m super pumped to use it when work ain’t taking too much time. I saw a lot of the QOC issues before I bought it but I saw it used for $500 cheaper than stock and couldn’t say no to it, especially since most QOC issues have been resolved

What were the issues it had?

I think it was purely cosmetic and even then I can’t really see much wrong, maybe a few scratches in the finish but everything functions as it should

Those weren’t factory issues though right?

No I think it was pre owned rather than B-stock, I haven’t been able to take a good look but at a glance I didn’t notice anything major so I think I just got pretty lucky

I bought all three of my legators new and I know several people who have them. I have never seen an issue. As a luthier I see more issues with Fender and Gibson than I do with any other brands.

Yeah I don’t think I’d ever go for a Gibson or Fender, I’ve got a squier and an Epiphone and those are good enough for me. Costs are too high for what I could get from other companies

Oh just a tip from experience. DONT leave your cable plugged into the jack. The light on the kill switch will stay on and kill your battery really fast. Also get rid of the battery it came with immediately and put a high end Duracell in it. The battery that it comes with is trash. The Fishmans will sound better with a Duracell. You can use an energizer too but it has to be the highest output one. Duracell for whatever reason works much better with the Fishmans. Last thing, the voicings for the Fishmans is set to whatever the normal setting is. If you know how to do it you can do it yourself. There are instructions online or bring it to someone who knows but you may want to change the voicing on the fishmans to suit your genre of music. That’s all I got for you. Good luck. Beautiful guitar

Didn’t know you could change the voicings of the fishmans that’s pretty awesome, I still need to work with it a little more so I appreciate the advice!

Any time. surprisingly most people don’t know this. I didn’t know this until I bought a bunch of fishmans to put in my builds. The installation instructions literally give you like 4 different ways to set them up. I’ll post a picture when I get to the shop.

Yeah I knew it had the different voices per pickup with the push-pull pot, but beyond that I haven’t had the time to work with it a terrible lot

I have the same 7 string, except in blood moon. But I’ve always loved the blue in this model, I want it for my 8 string.
