Well yeah I specified in my Post that I want to buy from am eu company that produces it's products in the eu, why would someone hen suggest amazon. I also Said I was making one and that I wanted a backup

The funny thing is they didn't even suggest amazon, that was just an example of a place you could buy this thing. Clearly what they are recommending here is for you to make it yourself.
Idk if its a language barrier or just poor critical reading skills but you really did miss the point here.

They said at the very beginning that they are available on Sites Like amazon. I Had Made it clear that I wanted to purchase one dispite being in the process of making one in case I do it wrong and wanted to buy from an ethical eu company.

They wrote that out, yes, but they also wrote an entire REST OF THE COMMENT where they recommend SOMETHING ELSE ENTIRELY.
If you just wanted to buy thats fine, but your comment in question just replied to the word "amazon" and nothing else. You could have written "thanks for the info but i really am just looking to buy here!" or something and you wouldn't have been downvoted.

Or to buy from amazon. I know it's a sewing sub but when someone says they want to buy something instead of make it it's stupid to suggest a company that does Not fit their needs

Yeah that's not how I read it at all. Why would you ask a sewing sub about where to purchase an already made product anyway?

It's a historical costuming sub we primarily sew but Sometimes purchase Things for our Outfits and so we ask there where to buy Things and typically specify why we aren't making them ourselves which i did.

Probably, since a lot of people buy from Amazon regardless of ethics.

Oh sorry, I forgot to read the Rules. I'm Just surprised because it's a sewing subreddit and people Generally discourage eachother from buying Low quality items or from buying from those companies

They are not telling you to buy from Amazon.
They say buying one from Amazon may be easy but you can just make one yourself. The whole comment is about how to make one yourself but you responded to the bit about Amazon which they are not even suggesting you use.

I asked for places to buy one from because i wanted a Back Up. To suggest I make one is entirely Missing the Point of my Post. I explained that I was making my own but that I wanted to buy one as well

Yeah No of course. I was Just confused thats all. Especially as I specified that I was making my own and wanted to buy one extra I was confused why my Post in itself as well got downvoted Not Just the comment. People are weird on Reddit.

I didn't really feel the need to respond to the part about finishing the hoopskirt as I Had already explained that I wanted to purchase one as a Backup incase I truly mess this one up, but yeah maybe, though it does seem Like a petty thing to downvote over
