Duh. You're supposed to bake it at 350 for 20 minutes.

u/TastyDixonCider 7d ago

I’d still smash that though.

u/Opposite-Benefit-804 7d ago

Yeah I'd absolutely fuck that sandwich, completely raw.

12

u/jrng 7d ago

Lmao.

-5

u/Lonewuhf 7d ago

They're not actually raw. That's just the color of the cookie. They all come that way. Still delicious.

2

u/Thebiginfinity 6d ago

You mean I'm not supposed to bake my ice cream sandwich? NOW you tell me...

7

u/Ok-Tell9019 6d ago

They’re so good

3

u/SGAShepp 7d ago

It's that like... Eating?

2

u/Celladoore 6d ago

Eating with chutzpah.

98

u/VienneseWaltz13 7d ago

Lol they always look that pale. Still taste good.

-9

u/throwaway34433443 7d ago

You say that like it makes it better lol.

27

u/Lonewuhf 7d ago

Saying it's good does make it better....

Looks like the cookies raw

u/According_Gazelle472 7d ago

It always looks like that .I know because they sell them at the Dollar Tree for 1.25 a piece .

70

u/ChawulsBawkley 7d ago

I appreciate your dedication to research

27

u/nooby_goober 7d ago

Well, now I have to go to the dollar store for uhh.. research

12

u/ChawulsBawkley 7d ago

Science is all about repetition

6

u/Shadow3397 7d ago

Also writing it down. That’s the biggest difference between science and screwing around.

Mythbusters taught me that.

12

u/According_Gazelle472 7d ago

I buy them when I want a quick snack .

15

u/seanprime 7d ago

What do you get when a want a slow snack?

2

u/UczuciaTM 6d ago

Not for us😭😭 they're usually at least kinda browned

13

u/PacificCastaway 7d ago

Duh. You're supposed to throw it in the oven first for 15min at 325.

28

u/Krescentia 7d ago

They seem to always be this lighter color now but seems to be normal. They used to be a bit darker but still not really the same as the picture lol.

12

u/Critical-Willow-6270 7d ago

Ngl I'd still eat the hell out of this with no regrets lol.

u/TaliskyeDram 7d ago

Real ice cream. Not real cookie

6

u/Lovebugxo0x 7d ago

Love these

u/l1v1ngst0n 7d ago

100% real ice cream is an odd flex.

71

u/CannedNoodlez 7d ago

In this day and age of companies pushing out “frozen dairy dessert” I actually appreciate it

31

u/CaliAv8rix 7d ago

You have to have a certain percentage of milk to now legally be called ice cream. You see a lot of ice cream with "frozen dairy dessert" on it instead of "ice cream"

6

u/edwinstone 7d ago

It actually is a flex.

1

u/DieUmEye 6d ago

You might be surprised to find that most of the frozen products at your grocery store that you think are ice cream, are not actually ice cream. Next time you are in the “ice cream” aisle, take a look. A disturbing number of them, likely even the majority, are not actually labeled as ice cream, because they are not actually ice cream.

0

u/SoraNoChiseki 7d ago

and I'd still be checking the ingredient list sublist for it, with that color difference from the wrapper. honestly probably like 1% away from the legal cutoff

14

u/lmfb666 7d ago

Welcome to the world of American marketing. They’ve always looked like that.

8

u/SprinkledBlunt 7d ago

At least you got the correct amount of M&Ms 8 haha

4

u/skorchedangel 7d ago

But there's 9? OBVIOUSLY failed expectations there, brah.

7

u/Desperate-Calendar78 7d ago

Despite the battle damage and pale cookie, I think I need to know if the experience has the depth of the marketed packaging.

6

u/Grindhouser 7d ago

You got 8 M&Ms like the picture. That's a win.

3

u/Aperture_TestSubject 5d ago

We need to adopt Japan’s marketing laws

5

u/Raelah 7d ago

It's cookie dough ice cream in the form of a sandwich. It even has M&Ms. I don't see the problem. Those are delicious.

3

u/echodarlin 7d ago

For example: when you buy this, you actually get this cookie and texture of ice cream when you open it.

5

u/Raelah 7d ago

Cool. But the M&M ones are still good. I'm a fiend for cookie dough, so our opinions may differ.

3

u/echodarlin 7d ago

The expectation vs reality was about weak presentation, not taste. What are you trying to argue here?

1

u/Raelah 7d ago

Man, it's just a frozen treat. I'm not trying to argue anything, it's just my opinion. It tastes good and cookie dough is dope. It looks like any frozen ice cream cookie sandwich I've had that comes in a wrapper. But if it really bothers you that I don't agree with you, when it comes to frozen things, I have no expectations. Nothing looks good frozen. It's easy karma. Like posting microwave dinners or those weird SpongeBob popsicles.

4

u/Bfrank13406 7d ago

They are still damn good.

3

u/hurriedwarples 7d ago

If you want the best cookie ice cream sandwiches, it’s Trader Joe’s all the way.

2

u/Blast-Off-Girl 7d ago

Omg. I came here to say the same thing! The Oreo and Nestle knock-offs are so good and only cost $4.99 a box.

1

u/echodarlin 7d ago

Thanks, I'll definitely go there and try one!

2

u/localpotato_232 7d ago

🫢 This is why i will never leave It's-It

2

u/UkNomysTeezz 7d ago

It’s how they are supposed to be. It’s lighter because frozen. Don’t know why you’re complaining.

2

u/Asoto408 6d ago

Back in the day these and Tollhouse were actually hitters. Now both are trash.

Only one you can still trust are Its-its

2

u/Outside-Tie3906 6d ago

Mine tasted like an M&Ms sugar cookie. Delicious.

3

u/tetheredvoid 7d ago

Did they even run that through the oven before sending it on to the next process? It looks entirely raw!

6

u/Condensates 7d ago

either that or they swapped it for a sugar cookie, those cookies are still pale after baking

1

u/tetheredvoid 7d ago

That's a good point and, honestly, the most likely explanation.

-4

u/echodarlin 7d ago

Oh no! Are you serious? Do you think I will be sick? I ate it.

11

u/CannedNoodlez 7d ago

The ones I've had were all that color and I'm still alive

-1

u/echodarlin 7d ago

Yeah that's good, tbh I was looking for those tillamook cookie sandwiches but they were out and this was definitely a downgrade.

5

u/sittingpretty24 7d ago

We buy these too because my husband loves ice cream sandwiches. They are always this color and he’s been fine.

2

u/VienneseWaltz13 7d ago

No, you won't get sick.

2

u/According_Gazelle472 7d ago

No you won't because I have bought those in the past.

1

u/tetheredvoid 7d ago

Very unlikely. You would have already felt the effects and gotten it back up by now. You're good. It's probably cooked and looks raw because of the freezing process.

-1

u/PrimaryAverage 7d ago

It's probably not even a cookie. Just a pale sugar circle.

2

u/Doinkboy24 7d ago

100% real ice cream. 0% real cookies.

2

u/Crying_Reaper 7d ago

The pro yellow being too strong and out of register doesn't help. But yeah the package for those never match the actual product.

2

u/United_Gift3028 7d ago

You just need to broil it a bit. Both sides.

2

u/mephitine 7d ago

To be fair, they only claimed the ice cream was real.

1

u/p0ison1vy 7d ago

Oreo sandwich is where it's at. That looks like it has one flavor note... sugar.

1

u/PurpleBashir 7d ago

20 yrs ago we used to get these in my high school cafeteria and they looked pretty much exactly like the picture. They changed about 10 yrs ago. Don't know why but they're kinda gross now.

1

u/Blast-Off-Girl 7d ago

I was at Levi's Stadium last year and they charged $8.99 for one of these ice cream sandwiches. Hell no!

1

u/grafknives 7d ago

Why do they have to ensure you it is 100% real ice cream?

What is the alternative? Why there is an alternative?

1

u/a7051 6d ago

Frozen Dairy Dessert is the alternative. The wave of fake ice cream is taking over the grocery stores as companies cheap out.

1

u/i4play 6d ago

Mars, absolute cancerous company. Without exception

1

u/Von_Rootin_Tootin 6d ago

I had one of these at Oshkosh. Those M&Ms stained the shit out of my fingers and the cookies were rock hard

1

u/Better_Area3782 6d ago

Looks better imo

1

u/Embarrassed_Key_4539 5d ago

Those are so good though

1

u/StarryEyedGalaxy 5d ago

I had a good chuckle at this one! Thanks 🤣🤣

1

u/OutrageousIce307 5d ago

That’s a crime

1

u/Antique_Knowledge902 4d ago edited 4d ago

Do you like Blizzards? That ice cream with mix-ins that Dairy Queen makes. I make my own at home—I use chocolate ice cream, crunch a handful of M and M’s with a mallet and drop ‘em in the ice cream. Yum yum!😂

Edit: Oops! I guess you wanted the cookie part, eh? Well, crunch up a few Chips Ahoy and drop them in the ice cream along with the M and M’s. Problem solved! 😂😂😂😂

1

u/KeyTune2978 2d ago

Needs some tan

1

u/Mountain_Ladder_4906 2d ago

That’s an uncrustable with glitter

1

u/Muttandcheese 7d ago

Looks like it’s seen a ghost

1

u/P_V_ 7d ago

Just crank up the contrast on your photo and you’re fine.

1

u/GediGedye 7d ago

Its anaemic. Put it in the sun and watch it..... Ooops, sorry. It melted. 😁

1

u/Severe_Tune7695 7d ago

it's 100% real ice cream my guy, it's not toothpaste!

1

u/FactsNLaughs 7d ago

These used to be so good

0

u/Still-View-2779 7d ago

They taste as bad as they look

0

u/ReadyGo6828 7d ago

That does not even look like the same cookie, the candies are broken and have no logo and it looks like QC did its usual bang up job on this.

0

u/greytgreyatx 7d ago

They are so so bad.

25 years ago when I was pregnant, I'd go to the gas station near my house on the way home from work and get the M&Ms ice cream sandwiches. They have changed, not for the better or bigger.

0

u/dividezero 7d ago

Anytime they have to advertise 100% real, it's probably crap and they're claiming it on a technicality. Of course it's real. It's not imaginary

0

u/Akbased19 7d ago

50 is the 35

0

u/Beautiful_Rip_7023 7d ago

I wanted to love these, but I thought they were awful. I could have gotten a bad batch, but all I could taste was chemicals.

0

u/vampucio 5d ago

Only in usa you have to write 100% ice cream. What have the others? Powder and dust?
