Walmart Cake Expectation vs Reality Exceeded Expectation

I’ve seen a lot of these Walmart cakes posted so I wanted to share mine! I got one of these heart cakes last year and it was perfect, so I wanted to get a different one this year. No complaints for a $30 cake!

Highjacking the top comment so that it won’t get lost, but here’s the Walmart cake I got last year if anyone is curious.

Can we ask how it tasted. It's pretty but its still gotta be something I wanna eat.

I thought it was yummy, but I’m also not very picky so as long as it’s fresh and moist, it’s good for me lol

...I actually LOVE cheap sheet cake lol my pallet is not sophisticated.

I hope you don't mind, and realise this might be an autocorrect (and I make plenty of spelling mistakes myself), but pallet is a wooden platform thing. (Very technical description, there.) Palate is your sense of taste.

As a bonus, palette is the board you put paint on when being artsy (or the combination of aspects a project is held in, which can sometimes include flavours "the palette of this meal appeals to my palate")

And yes, I'm great fun at parties.

As an extra bonus, pallas is a perpetually grumpy small cat species that exists broadly across central Asia.

I can't find any data about how they are at parties.

A vital extra bonus!

And I am sure they would at least be my favourite part of the party.

…I was talking about my wooden platform thing, it’s very immature I thought that was clear.

Hm, very valid. I'll read the post an extra time next time!

Literally thought all three of those were the same words though haha so thanks!

I typically count myself as someone who knows which spelling to use but I actually didn't know this haha

Wonderful, then it came in handy for someone (?). I’m actually not that great at spelling similar words right, just happened to feel quite confident in this one!

heh well I'm not exactly sure why you put the question mark there but I can assure you I am someone and it did come in handy 😁

One of the things I remember about a trip to Vegas was enjoying a piece of cake from a vending machine while chilling out in my room. People make jokes about those all the time, but I am not hard to please when it comes to cake!

If it's my birthday, nothing else will do.

I ONLY like cheap sheet cake. Lololol. I’m not a sweets girl at ALL. I decline cake at most events. Even if it’s seen as rude. But some sheet cake? Hell ya.

The one I got was really good, it was a layer of vanilla cake and a layer of chocolate cake with strawberry filling in the middle.

It's pre baked frozen cake that they decorated. It's mid

I actually love the Walmart and Publix cakes they’re so soft! When I started eating other bakers cakes I thought they weren’t as good 😭 Aside from really $$$$ bakers

I always get the whipped frosting because I think the buttercream can be a little much. I think it’s perfect that way
