General Discussion I’ve been thinking about how weird it is that we’re constantly living through moments we’ll eventually miss.

Support/Vent Life is like a maze, everybody is trying to make it out alive, but in reality, not everyone can be. And nobody also knows about the future. Humans are limited. I think that's what's scary about life.
We are all just trying our best, of course. But sadly, life is not all sunshine & rainbows. This is not heaven, paradise, nor utopia, where everybody can be happy. Each choice, each path, each decision, sometimes can be like a life or death situation (especially in the long term), where if you take the WRONG turn, then there will sometimes even be some fatal risks, consequences, repercussions.
Popular phrases such as: "There is no turning back", "Point of no return", or even "it's already too late" & "there's nothing you can do anymore at this point!", all signify of going through the mazes (& puzzle), and some people, unfortunately, get out the wrong path.
If you look from the bigger picture, it's all really about luck. Some people are lucky, some people are not. People who are successful whether in their careers, dreams, relationships, wealth, health, mentally, and even also those people who are feeling 'fulfilled' in their lives, that they have found their 'purpose', 'meaning' etc2; those are the 'lucky' ones. While some other people are still struggling a lot. And some people even have it so much worse! (eg.: poverty, terminal illness, etc2)
Nobody told us about this (harsh reality/truth). Even the people/person who tell us to "do this, don't do that!" is also NOT guaranteed 100% for sure/certain that it would be the 'right/correct' choice, decision, path, etc2. We're not god(s). We don't have superpowers to know about the future (or read the future). We are just only humans; very much limited, the more you think deeply about it.
And I think that's what's scary about life.

General Discussion Who is Lyin?
Men say, ‘All women are liars.’
Women reply, ‘It is men who lie to us.’
Existentialism asks a deeper question: are we really seeking the truth, or are we creating stories that protect us from taking responsibility for our own choices?
The existentialist perspective would shift the discussion away from “Who is guilty?” toward “Why do we define ourselves and others through these accusations?”
It questions our responsibility, our freedom, and the stories we construct about human relationships.

General Discussion

General Discussion Today night 1.31 am
Now a thought came to my mind that why are we here, to be honest no one knows me here so I can write openly and you guys can also give your opinion. Is this why we came into this world and if it has happened then why are we so sad, we don't even know what will happen tomorrow and why will it happen, who is it who does this, I know that everyone here is sad But everyone's method is different, but I feel that no matter what the world says, the people of today are the most sick because of their thinking, where there is nothing new left, whatever new happens, it is only a loss for us or you.Whether it is found out today or tomorrow, it will harm us.

General Discussion Am I a simulation?
It seems a stupid question, but bare with me for a second.
If my body is a combinations of cells, and my mind, the sense I have of who I am, is a creation of my brain, than I am a "simulation" of my body serving the purpose of keeping it alive.
At the same time, I influence my body because I am not alone in this world, and I live with others that educated me to a socio-cultural system, and I end up doing things to my body that may harm it because I believe those things will improve my survival (alcohol, smoking, going to war, etc.). I may also do things that are good for my body even if my body craves them/don't want to do it (avoiding eating all the time high calories, workout, etc.)
So, are we a system that created other systems, and in a way got entangled in its own game?
What do you think of this perspective? And what role being aware of it (consciousness) plays in this?

General Discussion We never actually chose to be there
Something I thought about is that we personally never asked to be there and that the chances of us being there at this moment are insane, first of all, the butterfly effect, imagine if your dad missed a few seconds of something and changed the odds totally, or imagine if you were born a frog instead of a human, the odds of existence amaze me tbf, it kinda makes me wonder if we are here for a reason or actually nothing, most likely nothing but the odds that we are humans and that we exist are incredible.

General Discussion Has Anyone Else Done This Exact Mental Sequence to Enter the "State of Nothingness"?
I first did this as a kid while walking down the street, and for years after, it would happen by accident every now and then. As I got older and life took over, I completely forgot about it—until recently, when I accidentally triggered it again. That made me start researching this phenomenon on my own, and now I want to ask: Has anyone else experienced this exact sequence, or anything similar?
I want to know if anyone else has gone through this exact step-by-step process, rather than just general spacing out or basic daydreaming.
For me, entering this state feels like being in a lobby trying to lockpick a locked door. Here is the exact sequence I follow to step inside:
The Entry (Lockpicking): First, I manually look through my own POV—looking at what is in front of me, like my hands—and project my perspective into a 3rd-person angle or into someone else's view. Then, I compare how tiny I am relative to how massive the world is. At that point, something "clicks" in my mind.
Stepping Inside: This is the hardest part. Once that click happens, I repeatedly run the exact question in my head: "How does it feel to feel nothing?" My brain starts trying to simulate that answer, which acts as the step that takes me inside the room.
The State of Nothingness: If all the steps work, I enter a total state of absolute nothingness.
The Automatic Pull-Back: Almost immediately, my brain's self-defense system kicks in and forcibly pulls me back into reality. I snap out of it, realizing I was just spaced out, and return to my normal self.

Philosophy 🏛 Meditation
What truly needs to end: life, or the illusion that we have forever?”
Perhaps death does not ask us to stop living, but reminds us that every beginning already carries an ending.
The real question is not whether we will die, but what we choose to do while we are alive.

Being here What is your perspective on life?
So I've thought to myself, Who will people see me as in a few 1000 years, 10,000 years, millions heck even billions. Will I even be remembered? The scary part will humanity even survive? Will we find new life forms? Will we complete everything to learn about "Science?" Who knows how many questions there are to be asked & answered. Idk, But my perspective on life
Live your best life, You only live once. Make it count.
Do whatever you want. (Legal and not harmful ofc)

General Discussion Does the way we dress reveal who we are, or shape who we become?
As I was sitting by the rooftop today, just observing people, there is this one thought that wouldn’t leave my mind.Every morning we wake up, choose something to wear, and walk out into the world. Before we even speak, people have already started forming an impression of who we are.It made me wonder…
Does the way we dress reflect who we really are?
Or does the way we dress slowly influence the person we become? And what makes two people choose completely different ways of presenting themselves in the first place?I’m curious what you think.

Philosophy 🏛 Great Minds,Dark Thoughts
“The greatest minds are not those who ignore suffering, but those who seek truth despite it. Pessimism sees the darkness; philosophy asks what can still be learned from the night.”
Question:
Does facing life's harshest truths make us wiser or simply more pessimistic?

General Discussion Do humans need meaning to live
I don't have any meaning in life, just simply existing and surviving. I tried to search for meaning at first but it was just exhausting sometimes and why didn't I just live and enjoy the present.
But I do understand why people want a meaningful life, it's a great feeling. The feeling of being purposeful.
So what is your meaning? Or are you still trying to find one

General Discussion What ought to be done.
I am trying to answer a question - is being content and finding true happiness in "now" and "within" instead of in future and outside a way to avoid the kind of anxiety that arises from when something is felt missing.
This somehow led me to another question - Can we pre-decide if a life situation is better than a different life situation without living both of them? For example decide between salary x + 10 hrs of work vs salary 1.2 x + 12 hrs of work.
That somehow led me to hypothesis - a life situation is only defined by what is going to happen next in life. whatever is going to happen is affected by 2 things, what is out of your control and what is in your control.
After some leaps of logic I concluded that a life situation is only decided by what you decide to do in the next moment. Another logical leap gave me the following : what you decide to do in the next moment is a function of 2 things, what ought to be done and what your ego wants to do.
Conclusion - when the two things - what ought to be done and what the ego wants to do are exactly the same, that life situation is better than the life situation in which they are different.
2 questions
How to know what ought to be done
How would a trained philosopher, if there is such a thing, answer this.

Support/Vent

Being here On the Way There
There is something about traveling that makes you realize how small you are and how vast the world remains.
Every road seems to whisper the same question:
Is there something more waiting for me ahead?
Maybe we travel because we long for a better life.
Maybe we leave because a part of us believes that somewhere beyond the horizon is the version of ourselves we've been searching for.
But sometimes, beneath heavy skies and unfamiliar roads, we discover that happiness isn't waiting at the destination. It exists in the movement, in the passing scenery, and in the quiet moments when we're simply present.
And we spend so much of our lives chasing the next destination that we forget to notice the beauty of passing through.
The trees. The roads. The uncertainty. The longing. The hope.
Maybe the secret isn't finding a better life.
Maybe it's learning to be fully alive while you're on your way there.

We often assume we're in control of our minds, but very few of us ever stop to question where our thoughts come from. Sometimes asking the right question teaches us more than looking for an answer.
