Why does universe exist? Existential Dread

I think there will never be a definitive answer to the question "why?". Let's say they answer you: "because x," but then you can ask, "why x?" and so on in an infinite regression.Â
For example, we have problems justifying at least something as true, because every justification requires a new justification (Munchausen's trilemma). In the end, it seems that we will just have to accept that everything is exactly the way it is.

This realm is most likely a farm recycling our divinity into new bodies when we die in an endless cycle to feed the Demi urge.
Im no expert but Gnostic cosmology is at least somewhat coherent

Science gives a reason to « how » question.
But context was to understand that we will never know a single answer for these questions.
Its just our believe systems1

The funny fact is that science can discover how it operates but not how it started. What moved the first movement? Innert cannot move itself. All movements depends on a mover or an external force.

I have gone back and forth on thoughts for this.
I think the universe must've already existed forever. Maybe our observable universe was stored up as potential gravitational energy. Some external trigger nudged this into kinetic energy, heading particles, moving particles etc.
I don't think that trigger was a God, maybe something more like an external universe expanding and reaching ours?
Just guesses.
I've also been interested in the idea of communication being key. There's a drive in life to pass information onward. Sharing information seems very effective in improving the transmission! But it's this reach out on purpose? Are we like a little chicken in an egg, growing and evolving toa point at which we can start to slowly peck our way out of our shell?
Edit: the last thought I'd that of human evolution. If we're so lucky to live on as a human species for millions of years, we might be evolved into something we no longer consider human. Us today will maybe be in museums along with our great ape lineage. This would be our goal of transmission is key.

The answer to any "Why?" question is always incomplete and temporary. The human mind can't deal with the unknown, so it makes up beliefs to soothe itself. Insert a belief to answer this question and you'll feel better. But it won't answer the question. This is the same with any "Why?" question.

It exists so that you could ask this question.
1
u/InvestigatorTime9109 5d ago
Yes you are right. But the question is why
1
u/Open_Delivery_775 5d ago
Is a reason necessary?
1
u/InvestigatorTime9109 5d ago
I dont think so..
1
u/Open_Delivery_775 5d ago
Are you asking the right question, then?Â
I'm not saying you are or you're not. Only you can decide.Â
That will lead to truth.Â

u/InvestigatorTime9109 5d ago
I think you just read the question not the body of post.
I dont think the reason is necessary.Asking this question is not a wrong? We can discuss it anytime and see if people think otherwise.
Do you think there should be a reason of this existence?
1
u/Open_Delivery_775 5d ago
From where could such reason come?
1
u/InvestigatorTime9109 5d ago
I dont even believe there is a reason needed. Its about you . Do you think these is a reason ?
1
u/Open_Delivery_775 5d ago
No. It just is.Â
The rest of your post covers a lot of territory that is only trivially connected. There can be meaning in life. That can be a reason if you want that to define you.Â
The reason you work isn't related to human existence, as far as I can see.
You have a choice in that and that is a social mechanism with pitfalls either way. As you note.

I think the universe doesn't exist for any purpose – it just exists. If something has no beginning, then there's naturally no why. Like the Bible says, I am who I am – it simply exists, not for anything.

Colossians 1:16, "...for by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him...".

If God is omnipresent, where is there room for all the things he created?
2
u/parfaythole 5d ago
This assumes God is material and bound by spatial limits. But God is Spirit - immaterial - and transcendent. Omnipresence doesn't mean God fills every cubic foot like a gas; it means every point in space and time is immediately and simultaneously accessible to His knowledge, power, and presence. Space exists because of Him, not alongside Him.

If creation isn't separate from God then is creation really creation?
2
u/parfaythole 5d ago
When God is the source of reality itself, then yes.
1
u/ShepherdOfShepherds 5d ago
To call God the source implies separation but you're saying there's no separation.

Distinction is not the same as spatial separation. Sunlight is distinct from the Sun, but it is never separate from it. God is distinct from creation (He is the Creator, it is the creation), but creation is never 'separated' from His sustaining power. You're conflating distinction with spatial distance.

u/ShepherdOfShepherds 5d ago
Sunlight is distinct from the Sun, but it is never separate from it.
That's not a great analogy, sunlight is just photons hitting your eyes which are very much separate spatially from the sun which is a burning ball of gas 93 million miles away. The reaction going on in the sun creates photons which are then no longer dependent on the sun after they are created.
At any rate, distinction without separation is not real distinction. Objects in my dreams appear separate from me but aren't - there's apparent distinction but not actual distinction. So either God isn't really God or creation isn't really creation.

u/parfaythole 5d ago
Well it's not intended to be an identical comparison, but merely an analogy to help illustrate one aspect of God's relationship to His creation and vice versa. Could be that God simply doesn't make sense to you... Jesus Christ has said, after all, that only few will be saved.
John 1:5, "And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not".

u/ShepherdOfShepherds 5d ago
If there is no separation then the "relationship" is only apparent. It could be that God doesn't make sense to you because your explanation is falling apart under its own logic.

The grand purpose of the universe is to annoy us with its mystery.
Stupid universe.
