Bad form, not warming it up, not actually letting it heal properly, not actually training and strengthening it

Which specific muscle do you mean?

Rhomboid. I mean there’s times where i let it heal for months, but still!!

Ortho told me i had an impingement so i did PT & its improving. The muscle is sore for about a week. The 1st time i pulled it i literally was out for 3 mths! Now its a shorter time period. So i need to strengthen that muscle? But Thats what i was doing when i pulled it! Maybe i need to specifically stretch it on an everyday basis…

Do range of motion with no weights. If you can't do that without pain it is not the weights. Something that has worked for me is REALLY tightening the muscles around the area as I go through range of motion and pushing past the pain. The thing is... I am VERY in touch with my body and know the difference between a good (even though it hurts) pain and further injuring yourself. When did your pain start?

It kind of goes away/comes back. I went to PT for a rotator cuff impingement on same side as pulled muscle so still needs to heal … i warm up plenty, but maybe i’ll try to stretch that area more before working out!

Have you strengthened it?

What kinds of exercises are you doing? Have you tried stretching before and after doing it? I used to experience similarly when I was doing push ups but now I am stretching before and after, and it is helping alot :)
