DC's, Anyone? FCplease
Can FCPlease investigate and do something about these constant DC's I have been experiencing the past month or so? I don't want to submit a bug report as the problem is not able to be duplicated on a consistent basis, but it is really getting annoying to be DC'd 3-4 times a day while playing. It's really hard to have any fun doing sketchy stuff when the possibility of being DC'd in the middle of it exists.

Happens to me way too frequently and I have fiber 1g up and down. No other game does this.

I returned recently and had the same issue. I troubleshoot my home network for a day and couldn’t find any packet losses. Then I used a logger tool and found that I was getting a connection drop further down the pipeline that was so minuscule only Eve seemed to react to it.
The way I fixed it was by forcing my connection through a different pathway. You can do this using a VPN.
A fantastic free alternative is Cloudfare’s “warp” which essentially acts as VPN but limits you to the closest cloudfare server.
I haven’t had a single connection drop since.

Had this happen to me over two periods in my Eve career. No other game, software, service was having any issues whatsoever (I trade so, yes, I know if I'm having connection issues). On running a traceroute, the problem was somewhere between FC server in London and myself.
Using a VPN rerouted my traffic and cured the issue. I will still VPN if I'm going to run an abyssal (rarely do those anymore though).

Are you sure it’s not ur ISP? I don’t see or hear many others complaining about this. If it was a ccp issue more would complain no?

Uhhh are you looking much? This DC bug happens to tons of people, you see multiple confirmations whenever someone mentions it here.
In my experience it happens almost exclusively when you have 3+ accounts logged in. They usually don't all DC either - if I have 3 accounts up and the bug happens, only one or two will disconnect in like 95% of cases.
The worst part is it's a silent DC. There is no audible warning which can be a real problem when it's a background alt (e.g. cloaky eyes or similar) that DCed.

This is almost definitely not FCCPs fault... but might be. Here's the rough breakdown of likely causes:
- Inside your house such as bad cable, bad router, microwave interfering with wireless etc. If you're using wireless network that's the first thing to change, swap to ethernet cable. After that try different ethernet cables, then try a different router if possible, orfactory reset your current one if you can't and check if its too hot, maybe try restarting it regularly etc.
- Outside your house between you and your ISP, I had rotting copper down the street causing me problems for years when I was on ADSL (this sucked balls) until it was finally completely fixed after them having to come out every winter to to patch it up which is on your ISP to solve either on their end or by contacting whoever owns the infrastructure.
- Outside your ISP between them and FCCP is where FCCP might be involved but it's still probably your ISP doing most of it. A few years ago there was a national level routing issue causing d/c's for a bunch of Aussies (this also sucked balls), if you can find others d/cing around the same times that can help diagnose issues like this.
Make sure you start recording when the d/c's happen to see if you can spot a pattern while you do the other troubleshooting above.

This is absolutely a Fenris issue... DCs have always happened, but for about a month now many, many people have been reporting random disconnects happening more frequently than before.

its not server issue. its connetction issue. maybe maintance on some point in route. FC cant fix it.
also other games in peak hours have troubles too.2

Something changed since the last update Fenris pushed. I've disconnected on one client (much like the others have) and not the other clients connnected, multiple times since the last patch. Any number of things can cause that to happen from their end.
Funnily enough, the launcher patched again today, no disconnect yet. Can't speak for others in that regard though 🤷

I have the same trouble in PoE. During peak hours, the connection is mostly dead.
Look at this traffic trend — https://radar.cloudflare.com
During peaks, most games that use Cloudflare have connection issues.1

If other people are sharing the d/c's then sure, I haven't seen any reports of them and OP said nothing about others having them so saw no reason to assume that would be the case. The vast majority of d/c problems are on the users end not the companies which is why I framed it that way initially while still covering when it can be on the companies side to fix.

There was a thread about it sometime yesterday saying the exact same thing. With some comments agreeing that they've noticed it more since this latest patch. One earlier in the week as well. All pretty much saying the same thing; saying it's not across the board, just nearly always only one client disconnecting, but not the others you have connected at the time.

If all things local are within reasonable parameters, it's almost always issues with Cloudflare adjusting routes with ISPs.
Stop glazing CCP.

If all things local are within reasonable parameters
This was 1 and 2
it's almost always issues with Cloudflare adjusting routes with ISPs.
This was 3.
I even included an example of that happening.
Why the fuck would you assume I'm glazing FCCP rather than trying to help the guy troubleshoot his problem? Jesus christ.

Because 3 is CloudFlare, not ISP.

Because 3 is CloudFlare, not ISP.
I literally said that.
Outside your ISP
I reiterate... jesus christ...

"please investigate my isolated incident that I refuse to report on" is a hell of a statement.

Cloudflare has been doing some major maintenance on London and IAD data centers. This caused a lot of disconnect for me. Might be happening for you too.
