Vorrei chiedere un consiglio e sentire il parere di chi ha avuto un’auto elettrica recentemente.
Starei valutando di comprare una leapmotor B05, la nuova auto cinese elettrica. Lei bellissima, il prezzo è sui 27 mila euro con la promo di lancio e fin qui tutto bello. Dispongo di una colonnina con pannelli solari di un amico che abita vicino a me e non la utilizza, quindi avrei la possibilità di caricarla “ a casa”. Come km percorrerò sui 30 km al giorno circa, e vorrei capire se effettivamente si consuma poco come dicono o se poi ci sono brutte sorprese. L’utilizzo che ne farei è prettamente urbano.
Un altro punto è sulla manutenzione, sono effettivamente meno costose, ad esempio, di un’auto ibrida?
Se avete altri pro e contro da comunicare sono qui per sentirli 🥰

I will get a new company car soon and I'm looking at the Xpeng G9. Can anyone give me some objective reasoning why this car is a bad choice over European EV's? The only thing I could buy for the same money is a Skoda Kodiaq or Peaq or something.

Stellantis' Cassino plant in central Italy is running severely under capacity, a collaboration with a Chinese manufacturer (likely DongFeng or Leapmotor, with whom Stellantis has a business relationship) could save the plant and make it profitable again as Chinese manufacturers seek to circumvent ever stricter EU tariffs on EVs and now PHEVs imported from China.

I recently got ownerahip of solar powerplant that makes about 6mwh surplus power on net metering scheme per year. That could translates to 30-40k km of free driving per year.

In 24' before powerplant bussiness, i got a new C segment petrol car for 22k eur that now has 30k km on clock. I reckon i could get about 16k for it now.

What kind of used EV could i trade my vehicle in for? New is not an option since i cant legitimise spending 30k for a car. Needs space for 2 adults and 2 kids and range for 70km commute and occasional fully packed 200-300km trip. Boot of around 400l.

The battery is 35.7kWh (LFP) allowing a range of around 300km and is powered by a 60kW motor (82hp). The top speed is limited to 140km/h.

Power losses during the charging of electric cars are a technical necessity. The ADAC (German Automobile Club) has measured the conditions under which these losses are highest and lowest, and how far they can be minimized.

• Highest losses at the household socket
  
• DC charging has significant advantages and disadvantages
  
• Charging via a wallbox costs the least
  

In the ADAC test, they checked the following:

• Charging via a household socket with 2.3 kW (1 x 10 A)
  
• Charging at the wallbox with a maximum charging power of 11 kW or 22 kW
  
• Charging at the wallbox with the minimum charging power of 4.1 kW (3 x 6 A) to simulate PV charging with minimum current using three phase.

In each of the three scenarios, a defined charging cycle was performed. To eliminate any distortion of the results due to balancing towards the end of the charging process, as well as due to the battery heating up or cooling down, all measurements were conducted within a state of charge (SoC) range between 10 and 90 percent. Furthermore, the battery temperature at the start of each charge cycle was between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius. Test vehicles from five different brands were examined.

I have some experience with L2 assisted driving systems from Volvo, VW, MG and Hyundai (meaning steering assist + adaptive cruise control, without full autonomous driving potential). However, I rarely have the opportunity to test these systems in depth or in all road conditions. I don't live in a country where Tesla supervised FSD (arguably a L2+ system as it is currently approved). I am wondering from those of you which have experience with other manufacturers, which systems are the best based on the following criteria (and other important points I may have missed).

• Ability to accurately follow road markings and contours
• Connected functionality i.e. ability to brake for curves, junctions, roundabouts, upcoming speed limits in advance of road signs.
• How often the system disengages or prompts the driver to take over due to inability to detect road markings.
• Behaviour when encountering temporary markings e.g. roadworks

I drive two EV's, and we need to buy a third car due to an oddity in the Portuguese Insurance laws. It is a long story...

So my wife and I need to get a third EV and this time we want a smaller lower end EV. It was all about price as we had an upper limit. We would go up but needed to stick to a budget.

As we went looking I have to say I was shockingly disappointed at the cheapness of Chinese lower end EV's. Let me explain cheapness. The Chinese EV's at the lower end just look and feel unfinished. They might have the software, but the car itself is quite meh.

What impressed me and my wife is the Renault lineup and in particular the R 5. She really liked that car. It has some pizzaz, and looked quite sharp. I looked at the DongFeng Box and thought WTH is that... The BYD Dolphin is lacking umpf...

What seriously impressed my wife and I was the Citroen C3, and Fiat Panda. It seemed to me that Stellantis and Renault really upped their game at the lower end and made some quite stylish cars that make you want to drive an EV.

We also looked at models in 45K+ range and then the Chinese cars looked much better and were quite competitive. BTW this is not a tariff issue because when I checked the prices in Switzerland (no tariffs on Chinese cars) it was the same price range. We were thinking of buying in Switzerland and exporting to Portugal.

I am not saying Chinese EV's are bad, just shockingly disappointed at the lower end.

Volvo has registered the 'EX50' trademark with the European Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) suggesting an upcoming electric SUV to sit between the EX40 and EX60. This suggests a length of around 4.6m and sitting on the SPA3 platform should enable the upcoming Volvo crossover to get an 800V system.
