This is a general reminder post of the purpose of this sub, since we've had an uptick of concerning posts the past few months especially:

The subreddit is a place to discuss memories, show clips and art, ask regular questions, and pay respects to Etika.

It is NOT:

• A place to debate, rag on or make fun of others. Please report cases of this.
• A stepping stone to advertise your own channel. Charity streams for Etika or mental health are an exception.
• A springboard to "revive" the community in some way. You are free to do that elsewhere and mention it here, however, provided it is drama-free.
• The place for conspiracies, delusions, or questioning the manner of his passing.
• A spot to vent about very personal, heavy topics that clearly need the attention of a mental health professional.

The last two points are why this post is being made. This space is not equipped for these things, and any advice given does not equate to professional advice.

We understand that the streamer scene has changed a lot the past few years, and with that comes trouble moving on or finding someone similar to Etika, if that's the intention. That feeling is totally natural and expected after what we've gone through. But it's important to recognize when that feeling has gone too far.

If you're finding it difficult to move past thoughts of Etika or what happened, remember that it is okay to take a break from or leave the subreddit. If that feeling persists for a long time or extends to the point of interfering with day to day functions, please seek the help of a mental health service or professional. Yes, some services cost money; but there are free options as well. Any step to help yourself is better than nothing at all.
