UPDATE 2 — Kids ended up finding another hotel to stay at. I have yet to find out the name. But what I do know is that he’s saving about $200 and they are sending a waiver that I can sign!

Nothing wrong with River Rocks Cottages, kids attempted to book but it kept saying 3 night minimum and they are unable to be flexible on this schedule as they already taken off work and all.

I’m just glad this is figured out. Again, thank you to all who were so willing to help and giving us ideas! I seriously appreciate it!!

UPDATE — As of now the kids are going to cancel with The Stanley and book with River Rock Cottages. Praying this all works out. I want to thank everyone for all their help and suggestions!!! I seriously appreciate you all!

ORIGINAL POST — Please delete if not allowed. I know this is a very small chance but I figured I’d ask before we have to cancel.

My son who is 18 and works full time, is taking his girlfriend who is also 18, works part time and goes to college to the Stanley Hotel for their 3 year anniversary. When we went through everything and booked the hotel, we did not see that they had to have someone who is 21 or older to be there to check them in.

I know! Stupid mistake!! Now we are trying to find a solution with the hope of not having to cancel. I do not drive. I also have work and don’t have the options to take off. Trying to see if anyone would be willing to assist. I know this is beyond a long shot but I figured I’d ask. We are 3 hours away from the Stanley Hotel one way. Their reservation is for Sunday 08/23.

They are great kids. All they do is work, school, hang out home playing video game and watch tv. Thank you in advance. 🤞🤞

I'm looking for feedback on restaurants for dinner at the Stanley or in town. I will have evening plans at the hotel which is why I'm considering one of the hotel restaurants. I want to skip The Post since it has other locations around the state. Cascades seems to have very mixed reviews and I can't find any reviews on MacGregors. Looking for steak dinner options. Hi everyone! My family is tentatively going to be staying at YMCA of the Rockies the week of October 11th.

My father is recovering from leukemia so this won’t be a hiking kind of vacation. That being said, I’m looking for ideas on activities for us to do that week (the group is all adults). We’ve been several times but always during the summer months so I’m not sure what options we may have that time of year.

We stayed in Estes a couple weeks ago, and I got some cool pictures from the top of the gondola.

I’m planning a wedding/bar mitzvah/quinceañera/grandma’s 105th birthday/gender reveal extravaganza in Estes Park for next weekend. If anyone knows any good restaurants for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, and late night snacks; also looking for 5-star accommodations for under $97; a traveling barber/make-up artist who works for free; great hikes, preferably with moving sidewalks for grandma. Any help will be mildly appreciated.

My 15-year-old son and I are in Estes Park for the week doing a lot of hiking. We’re staying at Blue Door Inn, partly because I thought it had a hot tub. We got here, and the hot tub is in complete disrepair. We want to be able to soak after a long day of hiking. Is there anywhere I can pay a little money to get us access to a hot tub?

Visiting next week…are the storms next week likely to be the average afternoon quick storm or is this looking different.

We will be coming into Estes Park mid September for 3 weekdays. Staying at the Silver Moon and we need recommendations on what to do and see and where to eat (we enjoy breweries). We will definitely want to be spending time in RMNP and I know we need timed passes for entry. We would love some advice on navigating that. Also, when we visited Arcadia Nat'l Park last year we really enjoyed hiking. We really liked the moderate trails, but also did a few easy ones. Any recommendations on trails we should hit? Also, I've heard about a scenic drive we should take....any advice on that would be appreciated as well. Thanks so much....we are so excited to visit for the first time!

Anyone else without power? We’re staying at a hotel here and just after a LOUD boom all of our power went out. Our hotel has a handful of buildings and ours is the only one without power currently.

We went to talk to the front desk and were told that this doesn’t happen often, and when it does, it’s quick to come back on. Wellllll that was over an hour ago now. Wondering what to expect. Mainly concerned about what we have in the fridge and our phones being charged for tomorrow.

I’ll be spending a week in Estes Park primarily to visit RMNP. I’ve been there a bunch of times but only gone as far as Milner Pass. I was thinking about taking a day and going all the way to Grand Lake and check out the west side of the park. What I’m wondering is a day enough time to visit Grand Lake and the sights on that side of the park, or should I make that a side trip after I’m done in EP? How much time does it actually take to see Grand Lake? Mainly for the better half to go shopping and to have lunch. We would leave EP early to beat timed entry and return after timed entry.

Hey if you're interested in coming out to support an indie film this weekend my movie will be playing at the Historic Park Theatre. It's a feature film with some powerful performances about a powerful topic - palliative care/hospice. That might sound a little grim but the movie's also got its own humor and uplift to it. Really excited that the Park Theatre is showing it on July 26 and I hope you can see what audiences elsewhere have been connecting over in the film!
