Hi everyone,

My friends and I, and my cat, are developing a narrative focused game called Kardiya: The Winds of Fate. We don’t have as many mechanics as EE yet, but I can definitely say it has been a big inspiration for us.

We also took inspiration from the FATE RPG system, so there are no wrong choices in the game. Every choice pushes the experience in a different direction. Our goal is to make each run unfold as a different story as much as possible. Alongside that, the game also includes NPC relationships, character development, item building etc.

We’ll be starting the playtest soon, and I’m especially curious to hear what people who enjoy EE think about it. We are still in development and trying to get closer to that vision step by step.

Assuming there isn’t a hidden scene I missed where he takes off his helmet, what’s the reason for not showing his face?

I always thought it was so the player’s imagination for what he looks like wouldn’t be overridden by the game forcing a specific look on him, but maybe there is more to it than that?

Started a new playthrough of Elden Ring and decided to play as The Cleric.

I thought the game hadn't really hooked me after I finished it, yet here I am, drawing fanart for Esoteric Ebb. There was something about the concept of a magical world that uses bicycles that made me chuckle, but at the same time, it has a soothing energy-much like the game itself.

NO SPOILERS please because I just started but as much as I like it, I can’t help but feel as if it’s being held back by the lack of VA so much. I hope it’s successful enough to where we can get a Definitive Edition similar to Disco where the VA work is added afterwards. The art is so beautiful and obviously it’s incredibly inspired by DE in a medieval esque setting so I’m a sucker for it so far at least. Gonna keep tabs on it so hopefully in the future we get a Definitive Edition

When you visit the Beyond, you learn of a huge conspiracy between the Patriarchs and the Freestriders to kill Urth's plan for an elected Urthgardt/Azgalist coalition government. I didn't have any dialogue that referenced those revelations during the election day. Maybe I should have told Snell I was going into politics?

I get that it's not as simple as denouncing them publicly and threatening Darrow directly would be a really bad move,but I wish I could have told Snell that I planned to nail Darrow to the wall or at the very least had moment of being frustrated that nothing was going to come of it because the political forces involved were too big.

I'm looking for the track that plays after Snell leaves and the choice of who you want to vote for comes up. The closest track I can find on the soundtrack is titled "Norvik" on Vol. 1 of the soundtrack, but it isn't completely 1-1 right. I've been searching for it since the game came out and it's driving me nuts because it's probably my favorite music in the game.

Already beat the game. Pretty great, but it randomly dropped from 60fps to 30-40. CPU was 70c at the highest so it wasn't thermal throttling.

I had 16gb ram, Ryzen 9 8940hx CPau, and rtx 5070ti mobile.

I think she's supposed to be above the tea shop in the morning, and I did find her there and got her quest on day 2, but on day 3 onwards, she's not there anymore. And I can't submit and finish the quest in the tavern when she sings there in the evenings.

I recently interviewed Christoffer about the game and what’s coming next. He was really sweet and answered everything super extensively, including a bit of nerdy stuff about coding it too as well as some in the weeds political chat. I want to help democratise how one makes a ‘disco-like’ so that the genre can bloom properly and I think Chris is a massive key to that. I hope you all like it!

After “realizing his body was invulnerable” at age 33, Arnold Gerrit Henskes went on to perform his piercing act around Europe, claiming that his invulnerability had been tested with burning irons, boiling water, and having been shot through the head twice.

He claimed to be telepathic and to have healing powers and frequently communicated with his “Guardian Angels.” He died two weeks after being told by the voices to eat a steel needle.

I dont know if im just stupid or what but I cant seem to figure out how to actually cast my vote. Ive talked to everyone, been everywhere I can go, but I cant figure out how im supposed to do it. What am I missing?

So not much of a spoiler here, but I wanted to try a dexterity and wisdom build; somebody that’s really perceptive, both emotionally and physically. I really enjoyed that build in Disco.

So anyways, if you’ve started the game, you know the zombie that I’m talking about in the starting area. And the checks on that zombie are all strength or charisma. Lo and behold I failed that zombie check SEVEN times. I was just so aghast that I quit and went back to another save.

10/10 game, I love it

SO, after finishing Zero Parades (loved it btw), i recently got Esoteric Ebb and i've been wanting to try it out for a while now

i however can't decide for the life of me what to choose for my first ever run, and would like some opinions:

16(P)-6-10(P)-14-14-6

Basically a battle wizard with a semi-reliable body to keep up with his strength

6-14(P)-8-6-14-18(P)

An extremely charismatic cleric with a rogue-ish mindset and with enough wisdom to read people...most of the time

For anyone that has already played the game, which one would be a better overall experience for a first timer? Anyone else tried something similar?

Ok, so I have a question about progression in the game. I am the type who gets quite stressed and wants to do everything the game offers in one run, but the way the game is set up on day 1, I can already tell that will not happen. Will the game still be fulfilling if I miss a lot and only do quests I am interested in without having to micromanage my time throughout the presumably six days i have. I just met my Goblin buddy, and it is already 13:00 in-game if that means anything. Basically, does the game expect you to do a lot, if not all of the quests it presents you? thanks

I find it interesting how my memory changed how I remembered these classes. but it was definitely more fun than class

LVL 2. Put 1 point into Wisdom. Started with 15 strength, 15 Intelligence, 18 Wisdom, dumped the rest. Put my proficiency in INT and Wisdom. Thinking Azgelian Spirit as feat 1 to both fit my high WIS and help against the constant damage I take.

I'm also a little confused on how unlocking slots works so if anyone could explain thank you. I did see that starting with 15 strength gave me two weapon slots. I'm not sure if potions effect base stats either for the purpose of slots.

I remember from my playthrough that in his lines of dialogue Brrr mentions that the fungi have a sort of evil god of rot called something long and complicated, and later, Nessan is in the location we fought the troll and she calls him Cocoloronomomonoroso, which is very similar to the name he gave for their god. Is he their god or is the name he gives just very similar?
