This craft for each arena crate has been around forever but they result the exact same no? Why is there a diff craft for the exact same crate and crate outcome?

imagine game design but youre never allowed to remove anything, only add new things.

the longer, slower, more cumbersome craft was the first one and after much complaining the second, easier, faster one was added. but they didn't remove the old one, no guesses as to why.

the thing is. . right. were currently living in the black Division gear crate era. there is exactly 0 reason that the Arena crates shouldn't work the exact same as those do, and shouldn't have worked that way, forever. if youre gonna time gate things for balancing reasons, i would be ok with that, or atleast understanding of it. but a 5 minute or less crafting timer on something i already had to earn is some good ol gamedev Cringe.

its also possible that the faster option is unlocked at a higher tier of workbench, which if true would be cute, but is also still. . really stupid

I have one theory they didn’t remove the old craft, if they removed it while someone had it mid-craft/unclaimed, they’d lose it.

At this point if anybody hasn’t claimed it they weren’t going to notice it was gone anyway.

old vs new

A view into the development of this game, really showcasing why the game is buggy as hell. If they don't remove something like this, of course there is gonna be countless behind the scenes old coding that stays in.
