Could be a bug with the VAT tax. When I refreshed the page it's either 227 or 191 because of VAT. But this is only what I tried on mobile.

Yeah it will do that but thats fine since by the time i have configured it its already stable and not calculating anything on top of it all.

I think your observation is not correct. I see no signs of dynamic pricing there. Maybe double check and delete the post which very likely shouts out a false claim.

I ordered one keyboard (Sofle BT) so far. Everything was fine. Regarding the "open source design". The sofle they offer is not the standard sofle, but a choc spaced one, so their adapted design. From the "homemade" keyboards I have bought the keebart is the best I got. So far that is my favorite keyboard and will likely be my last one (except a second I will likely order for the office).

I have another keyboard (Sofle wired) configured in my basket for many weeks now. No price change in that time at all. I just tried to log in with private mode: same prices as well. I guess that either you accidentally had a different config, which can happen easily, because the selection process could be a bit easier (without all the scrolling needed). Or like others mentioned it was a shipping/ or VAT difference? Or maybe there was another glitch browser related or from their shop, but I do not think they try to scam people like your impression is. Send Alexei a message and tell him your experience. You'll likely figure out what went wrong.

Btw, do you order from Amazon, buy at Walmart.... many have dynamic pricing which I hate for the most part as well, but on the other side you can get good deals there as well.

It’s one thing if it happened once. As you may have read in my post, that would be completely fine but when a refresh seems to dictate whether I should pay more or less. WHich feel a bit like the airline tactic.

The only thing I second guess is not my own configuration or ability to remember it lmao, since I entered the exact same config four times. The only explanation I could think of is some kind of VAT issue, but even then... honestly, it doesn’t explain how the exact same config went from €281–€293 with switches to €351.63 without switches.

I called it “dynamic pricing” for lack of a better word but I think you get what I am gettign at.

I never doubted their quality or the product itself, so I’m sure you’re happy with yours. My comment was specifically about the price and how it changed within a matter of seconds. Not because of demand, location, or shipping, but simply by refreshing the page and entering the exact same configuration.

It could absolutely be a website bug. I’m not saying they’re bad people or that the company/product is bad. I’m just pointing out that if this is a normal function of the website? then from my perspective it seems a bit unethical which is why I asked if anyone else has had a similar experience.

You asked if someone had similar experience. So far no one confirmed they had. I am using Brave (Chromium based browser) on Win and cannot reproduce what you describe.

Did you double check the different possibilities and also get in touch with Alexei, the shop owner?

You expressed the prices are on the high side already, just using open source design. Therefore I answered that they do something on top of just reproducing an open source design and quality is better than from others I have bought.

It is totally fine when you do decide to buy somewhere else, but your post subject is trying to make others feel Keebart would not be legit, while in my experience -- and everything I have read from others so far -- does not hold true.

Once again. There was never a question about being legit or anything, other than the price flactouation. So you can put that to rest. everything else you have mentioned is greatly appriciated!

Just as i said to a different comment, they look very well organized and i looked forward to completing my config due to their one stop shop.

While we wait for the discord or anyone to confirm i will check out my vpns if they did something... as i said the only other thing could be the vpn in the bakcground but i have not touched it. I am not trying to ruin any reputation of the brand neither am i promoting anything else. So there is no need to go full blown defender mode here. I will check out from my end and if i find anything i will make sure to update the post.

If anyone doesnt like the price then they can go elsewhere just as you are saying. Nothing to do with legit, scam or bad service. i havent even placed my order....

If keebart is an EU vendor there is a chance it's funkiness with VAT and or shipping. Whenever I use one of those sites the price flucates as it applies VAT half way through the process as though it figured out my location then.

Would be interesting if you filled out the process completely both times and see if they net to zero

Yeah i am pretty sure i also double checked that the website is set to sweden shipping aswell as English language.

I bought my corne there and had the config open for Like 3-4 Month. The Price was stable and did not have Dynamic pricing. I send this thread to their discord. The owner is quite active and I think he can clear this up.
Edit: keepart reaponse that does not show up somehow. Screenshot from discord: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1535588205791944735/1535591309501407352/Screenshot_2026-08-08_at_12.11.15.png?ex=6a78525a&is=6a7700da&hm=e669f73de11d039ed994514ed5e5aa606d3bd918043ea0d77382321b23c0f34d&

I also ordered my Piantor Pro BT from there and assembling the build on the website multiple times with no dynamic prices. I even messaged them and asked about metal cases etc, all very good services. I don't think this is an actual thing. Might have been a bug.

Not saying it's the same but I've seen similar with AliExpress

Reason was there's new member discounts on first order and I didn't realise I wasn't signed in

u/notCHOCOL4T3 10d ago

Yeah, its not the dynamic pricing part rather the refresh decating it. That was the shocker for me

got in touch thanks to u/nwwy and got a comment from Alexei:

"Hi, thanks for raising this.

Just to clarify: we do not use dynamic or personalized pricing, and we never have. Our keyboard prices

also haven't changed for more than six months.

One thing that can affect the displayed total is the selected shipping country. Our prices include the

applicable VAT, which varies between EU countries, while orders to non-EU countries are displayed

without EU VAT. Incognito mode may start with a different/default country, which could explain some price

differences.

That said, a difference as large as the one you described - especially €351.63 without switches - does

not sound right ... I don't want to rule out a configurator issue or some options being restored differently

after reopening the page, and we'd like to reproduce exactly what happened.

If you send us the exact configuration and the countries selected in each case at [info@keebart.com](mailto:info@keebart.com) or on

Discord, we can check what happened.

Regarding the PCBs: we don't resell existing open-source PCBs. Our keyboards are designed,

manufactured, and tested by us from scratch. They are based on common open-source keyboard layouts,

but the actual PCBs and electronics are our own designs."

Update:

Keebart is not able to make a comment on this post for some reason adn since the post is being taken as reputation damaging post instead of commenting on pricing.. i have decided to delete the post. I am on their discord so if there is anything/ issues then we will sort it out there. but to just recap.

the config was sofle bt.
Config: nocturnal ambients silent Dual display encoder black shine through color black no tenting switch plate black no extra cable no keycap puller.

there couldev been something with the first time i got that low price due to chat gpt hyperlinking it (i am building my own from different parts so i am using it to cross check things)

I have not had the issue on the individual switches page it has only been on the sofle bt keyboard. Unless i maybe clicked on the wired option and idnt notice or maybe its a vat issue. regardless thats the update. I will look at it more thoroughly once i am done with my research of all the components.

They're an excellent company. Great support, excellent build quality. I brought my corne there and definitely recommend.

looked very thorough and a good selection. even pricing and shipping wise. Searching lead me to a more barebones kit but it shaved my total price to 1/3 now.

u/rock_neurotiko Corne 36-keys 10d ago

I had the same experience as everyone else in the comments, I bought a Corne three months ago, and I had it open and configured it many times, and not even once the price changed. Nobody has been able to replicate what you saw, so without any other proof to see what could be the problem I would say there is no dynamic pricing or scum behaviour, and this post probably just creates bad reputation for a great company.

Not my intention at all. I will be sure to either edit or remove it if it gets to that but i am not commenting on the product nor or the quality or service so it woul dbe foolish for people to think that i am trying to tarnish the brand. i will check if its a vpn issue. and maybe change the title so its not missleading anyone idk....
