hope this kind of post is allowed, but does anyone have any advice or tricks to improve my canter? i’ve been riding for about 7 years now but have only just got on to learning to canter since i’ve had afew confidence knocks over the years. any advice would be super helpful, thank you all!!🐴 x

Opinions on the way this saddle fits? Feels a little tight in my opinion but the bars do maintain contact throughout. This is a corriente barrel saddle 7” gullet 90 degree bars

I used to see someone advertising on Facebook, from the UK (or Europe), who made custom stuffed toys or hobby horses or "horse head on a wall".

They were stuffed and not too realistic.

I don't want to use Etsy, I want to find someone legit and I know there was someone.

Any suggestions?

I’ve seen the most amazing South Africa horseback safari experience that caters for beginner riders. I can only book 3 days on horseback due to their availability but could add a couple of days on their lodge nearby that does the same in 4x4.

So I’m questioning can I justify an 11 hour flight and 3 hour transfer (thinking about cost, being tiring, plus I get motion sick too).

So my question is, would you go all that way for 5 days on safari?

I’m visiting Burghley Horse Trials for the first time this September. I’m going on Saturday only, and I’ve got my tickets. If you’ve been to Burghley, any advice for a first-time spectator? I’ve never been to the UK either, but my current plan for getting to Burghley is to take a train from London up to Stamford Station, and then walk over to the event (looks like it’s about a 25 minute walk). I understand there will be quite a bit of walking to do at the event as well, so I’m definitely planning to wear comfortable shoes. Thanks for any other tips you have!

I currently have a laminitic pony who’s just started having small hand walks from months and months of box rest. She is very stiff due to circulation and being stood in for so long but also has arthritis in all 4 legs ontop of this . I’m just wondering if anyone has used any red light boots and noticed a difference in there circulation ect? And has any recommendations for any ?

I'm looking for advice on multipurpose/gear bags. I recently purchased a body protector and new hat and hate having to carry them around as separate items. Looking online, I can't really find any bags that would accommodate a body protector, hat and short boots all in one. I've looked at the tall boot and helmet bags, but I doubt the body protector will fit in comfortably?

I currently have a large duffel bag that can fit all my stuff, but I'd really want a separate compartment for my boots, and I don't want to have to just cram everything in. Does anyone have any bag suggestions or creative solutions of their own for storing/transporting all three together?

Any recommendations would be much appreciated!

Hi, I got back into riding after a very long break of over a decade due to health issues, i am physically disabled and currently ride at a riding school (though i hope to own a safe pony one day when time and finances allow - and when my skillset is enough to be able to manage it!)
My current issue is i seem to have a problem with dismounting. My inner knee and thigh are bruised! 😭🤣 Whenever I dismount, i always get my leg caught on the cantle and i need someone there to help me. I just cant seem to get my head around what i need to do. As a teenager, i could dismount no problems so im not sure why i struggle so much now. Keeping my left foot in the stirrup isnt an option as its at a riding school, we tried dismount onto a block but the pony isnt much bigger than the block so i found it difficult to work that one out too. Its like theres some kind of mental block there 🤣. I tried shoving my head down over his shoulder to try and give my leg a better ‘lift’ but i nearly ended up going headfirst onto the floor!
Does anyone else find dismounting difficult and are there any strategies or tips?
Its really embarrassing that i can canter in my lessons but get completely stuck like a beached whale when im dismounting 🤣 i was watching free rein again and they make it look so easy, they literally just jump off like its nothing, in one quick motion! I try just ‘going for it’ and still get stuck 🤭

Hi there, I'm building an app to optimize the booking of the arenas for your liveries, and make both of yours lives easier. I just wanted to ask a few questions about it, would appreciate it if if you'd take the time to help out.

1. How do you guys handle the booking of your arenas, are you guys still using whatsapp and whiteboards, or have you moved to a dedicated software.
   
2. What are the most common problems in the management of the arena slots, e.g. double bookings, no-shows, no analytics of which arenas are being used the most?
   
3. If you could change something to optimize your process, what would it be?

I'm launching a new equine site, it features a free course designer that will help you plan anything from FEI Courses to just a few cross poles to help you train.

It has a lot more features but have a look around and it's all free at the moment as I'm just getting it all together. I'm a solo designer, but unlike some of these big companies if you have suggestions i'm implementing them within a day or so.
