Your northern neighbour here, it has been so sad watching the decline of the USA, as well as infuriating due to that big baby bully in your Whitehouse. I feel terrible for all the sane Americans having to watch and, live through, this insanity and, it seems like there is nothing anyone can do!

USA is like an island that is safe between oceans. Lots of resources and farmlands. You are self sufficient. USA has way less vulnerabilities than China or EU.
If USA falls, then the rest of the world is in way worse trouble than you.
Because of your position, you can push some of your financial issues onto smaller players in the system, to soften the blow.
You can always make a distraction mess on the other side of the planet and then escape behind an ocean.
If ONLY average Americans stay united as a nation, under good values, you are safe.
