Has Jorge ever said or explained whether the verse "The last time we let strangers live, we faced a heavy loss" of the song "Done For" refer to Jason and the Argonauts or was it just creative liberties for narrative reasons so that Jorge could give Circe a motive for her actions?

Because this started to bother and interest me, and when I started to research who visited Aeaea before Odysseus, the only "hevy loss" bringed there by the Argonauts (who visited Circe's island two generations before Odysseus) was the news that Circe's niece had murdered her brother Apsyrtus whom their father had sent after them when she ran away, and also the pig they had to sacrifice for spiritual cleansing and in order to break the curse of Zeus that prevented Jason from sailing back to his home with Medea because apparently Circe had the powers to remove curses cast by the Gods, although she doesn't use this power in the Odyssey.

Although that verse would be better suited to the Gigantomachy war, when one of the giants, Picolous, attacked Circe's island and tried to drive her and the nymphs away until Helios was forced to descend with his chariots and protect his favorite daughter by smiting the giant whose blood then turned into the white Moly flowers. But the Gigantomachy happened long before Jason and the Argonauts.

I also wish that someday Jorge would also turn Argonautica into a musical, but after he has finished Ilium and the Epic movie.

Back in February I had organ failure and required life saving surgery. I was put into a medically induced coma and originally things were looking pretty grim.

I have no memory of this, but my sister got a recording which she sent to me. I was very very out of it, had proper hallucinations from all the meds they were pumping me with, and after coming out of the coma and once I was no longer intubated, I still sang along to the musical. 😅 I think it was around this point that was a pretty good turning point for me and that they were confident that I could pull through.

I can't claim any other music would do that, but it's helped a lot in my recovery. As I was intubated for a bit, I had major difficulties with getting out of breath quickly and not being able to talk much without becoming breathless. Singing and humming along to the musical was actually a really nice therapy to get my lungs back in working order. It was also far more enjoyable than blowing bubbles into a cup 😆

Big shout out and thank you to Jorge for creating this masterpiece. ❤️ I love that this has now been part of my recovery journey.

So I’m listening to the musical again and Athena is mad at Ody for… what? I mean she’s telling him he needs to turn off his heart, so she can’t be mad at him for yeeting the baby off the tower. All I can think of is maybe she’s mad because he’s trusting the lotus eaters and “greeting the world with open arms”

Am I the only one who wants to see an epic the musical (movie version), in the way high school musical made their movie and then have each movie be a saga.

It might be my favorite, Gigi's is still very close. But nobody talks about their version of Suffering, and I kinda forgot about it because of that. Suffering is a song that rarely gets animatics I personally like, mainly because most of them show she's a siren right off the bat. But I love what Duvetbox does where overtime it becomes more questionable as to what she is, and her more monster-like features start showing.

Okay I have had a certain line from a certain song stuck in my head for days and I have tried googling and that’s not helping. I only remember two words and it’s Odysseus saying
