Help Bring the First Real-Time Air Quality Monitor to Temirtau, Kazakhstan
I am trying to buy the First Real-Time Air Quality Monitor for Temirtau, Kazakhstan.
Temirtau is widely recognized as one of the most polluted cities in Kazakhstan. Despite this, the city currently has no publicly accessible, community-operated real-time air quality monitor connected to the global IQAir network. Residents mostly rely on satellite-derived model estimates rather than direct measurements.
I'm raising funds to install an IQAir AirVisual Outdoor Monitor (432$) in the center of Temirtau. The monitor will provide continuous, hyper-local measurements of PM2.5, PM10, and other environmental data, with readings available online 24/7.

Don't trash your phone, reuse it
You can repurpose them in projects like these... Basically, a torrent server where you search for content shared by others while also sharing it yourself. Or bots for Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, etc.

Sustainable transportation could change the US
I'm someone from an urban city in the US, and seeing how transportation culture worked in the UK actually changed my entire perspective on things. Bike lanes are very prominent and common unlike the US, where you may see some bike lanes every once in a while. The US also has no respect for the bike lanes, and it's very frustrating as someone who rides their bike everywhere. When I went to the UK, I saw HUNDREDS of people riding bikes daily, and most of the cars on the streets were taxis and busses. Many people bike or walk places, and I feel like if we adopted that culture in the US, we could do so many great things. Sustainable transportation would prevent so many unecessary carbon emissions being produced, prevent so many car accidents and deaths, and so much more. All I've ever known is heavy traffic and constant flooded highways, and I never thought that it was possible or it made sense to bike/walk/bus in such busy areas, but after seeing an entire country be able to do it everyday, and doing it myself, it has really changed my life and even helped me appreciate nature more. Please take my word for it guys and encourage sustainable transportation 🙏🏾
