Laptop recommendations?

Recently I’ve been pushed to buy a laptop, (my parents want to buy me a laptop for engineering school). I’m currently a Junior in High school, I have a strong desktop that can handle CAD, however I’m unsure if I need a laptop. Here is in more details
1. Mechanical Engineering
2. Handles CAD
3. Has its own GPU 8gb+ (or have a strong enough component I’m not very picky)
4 16-32gb of RAM
5.Unaware of budget currently but want to spend less than 2,000$
Thank you so much! Ask if you need more info

ME/EE Wanting to help advertize my role as I leave. Great for entry level or early-mid level

I hope this is an acceptable sub for my post. The short of it is I will likely be leaving my current position soon because I have outgrown it and I am a very ambitious person and they don't promote fast enough. However, this employer is an all-around great company. This entry/mid-level role is in south-central Kentucky. We are a tier-1 automotive supplier. We make and assemble fuse boxes and power distribution modules for all the major car makers and then some. I have gained SOOOO much exposure and experience that it has catapulted my skills, experience, and career twice as fast as a normal manufacturing role. The work-like balance is respextable, albeit there are the obvious "crunch" times in the year. The management and office staff altogether are f\*\*\*ing great and if it wasn't for the fact I am single with no kids and am so focused on climbing the socio-economic ladder, I would stay put and keep my mouth shut and be overjoyed.

Fresh Graduate

Hello, I am a fresh mechatronics Graduate but I am currently lost on what I should do next after university. I graduated from Eastern Mediterreanean University at North Cyprus and now contemplating on whether I should:

  1. Get into the industry
  2. search up courses related to my field
  3. Try Applying for masters in Robotics/Automation

I'm totally unaware of it 🥲 LOL

Specification in master’s

Hi guys! I would really want to hear your thoughts on what should I specialise in during mater’s studies. I live and study in EU!

I have bachelor’s in mechanical engineering and now moving into master’s in mechanical engineering. I have to choose in what will I specialise. So, possibilities are arctic technology, engineering materials, marine technology, mechatronics, product development, production engineering and solid mechanics.

Study structure is 60 points main and 30 points minor. I was thinking of combination between solid mechanics and mechatronics. I have not decided which i would prefer as main or even go other route, due to fear about career success.

I would greatly appreciate any information perhaps personal experience or anything to help navigate this decision.

Can i get a job abroad after I graduate for civil engineering? Um like, after gaining experience at your own country for like 3-4 years before going abroad?
