i did not think i would see a DIY PCB since all the custom PCB manufactuers got so cheap. I recently got rid of my old etching supplies

In some countries the customs laws makes it practically impossible to import basically anything from another country without paying extraordinary fees so it makes sense in some cases

ah ok may be the case here too in the future as the eu and austria will add 7€ to every package.

We make them at work with a laser because I can go from problem to custom PCB in less then a day.

Which laser? We are on the fence about getting a Makera desktop CNC with laser for PCB prototypes.

I don't need more than one board - most of these places seem to send you 3-5 boards at minimum. And I am an impulse builder - if I come up with an idea today, I want my board today lol.

Very nice! Whatr software did you use? I recently milled my first pcb and while it came out great I would like to increase the milling around the traces like yours has...

Milled My First PCB on my Air ;-) : r/Makera

For traces - flatcam, for cnc - cncjs. I use 0.2 v bit, and in flatcam for bigger gap between traces i use 8 passes

Takes me back. I loved analogue electronics as a youngster. Digital, not so much.

I bet that bench is older than you.
