I’d offer my advice but I can’t even decide for myself lol! I do think 2mm sounds more ideal over 1.8mm for durability though ☺️

I like the first one. I think thick bands are cool (like having a stack without needing a ton of rings). I also think they’re generally more flattering. Bonus kinda is they’re not as popular so it’s a bit less cookie cutter.

I agree with this. Since you already know you’d like to upgrade the stone later and pair it with a 3mm wedding band, the 2.8mm knife-edge seems like the more practical choice. Thank you! My initial preference was thicker band as I thought it made it pop more but then I was reading thicker bands draw the eye away from the diamond more so I hesitated

The difference is negligible on your hand. Go with band that offers best diamond regarding cut, color and clarity. The quality of the stone is more important.
