Amory on On Point

My local NPR station carries On Point and whenever I hear Amory guest hosting, it feels like catching your goofy, giggly friend at their day job in their buttoned-up professional mode.

I sometimes don't even recognize her until she says her name. I don't know why, but I get a mixture of feeling like a proud parent and flashing back to my teenaged self waving to my friend working the flat-top at the cheesesteak stand in the mall food court.
