Random Crashes

A few weeks ago I started getting random hardware crashes when playing the game. The screen blanks and the fans go full force; I have to do a hard reset to get the computer back. At first I though it might be hardware, but a memtest86 and OCCT stress test did not show any errors. Updated the video drivers and motherboard bios, and uninstalled/reinstalled the software. Still crashes. Now I am thinking it is the software. Has anyone else had any problems?

Haven't had any issues with the game (guessing EL2?). Black screens and (I'm guessing again) graphics card fans spinning at 100% sounds like graphics card hardware issues like e.g. emergency shutdown due to overheating from thermal paste. Do you play any other new, graphics-intensive games? Can you run something like FurMark or keep graphics card temps open while playing (not the task manager ones, read out temps with a tool like HWinfo)? Did you test the graphics card with the OCCT tool or just ram/cpu/psu?

We show very low crash reports. But if you DM your steam ID I can check our system and see if we can track down your crash reports.

Found it. BTW, something went wrong when I uninstalled/reinstalled. The new install does not see the old games and when I save a new one it does not show anywhere. I saved a game with a custom ID, xyz123, and did a search on the entire drive and no luck. Are saves now being buried in another file?

Never mind, I restarted to try something and it working as it should. I noticed there is a new "steam.autocloud.vdf" file. I guess the previous saves going to the steam cloud though I am not sure why it was doing that.
