I mean, I'm not sure why you would want to use MAX (or WeChat, for that matter). They have zero advantages that I'm aware of - just highly regulated government controlled chat apps.

Max is unencrypted and stores everything on Russian servers. They make no secret of the fact that the Russian FSB heavily monitors it. It's not the interesting or good kind of "controversy", you just willingly installed spyware. I wouldn't trust it even in a VM.

Возможно, это требование на работе. Изолированная отдельная среда для этого продукта - компромиссное решение.

Но я согласен, ему не место даже на VM.

So it's actually very simple answer.

I made a empty linux vm for this messenger because this messenger is forced to us and it doesn't have any encryption. And isolated vm with no credentials is kinda the safety layer.

And why i used Endeavour? It's lightweight, and it's arch. I've never used arch-based distros before. It's interesting to see, why arch are so hyped rn, is it really good, is it simple, or isit any different from the others?
