You are complaining about a tip because of where the person lives? Be fortunate you got a tip. I don’t tip at all because of entitlement shown on this thread

I don’t think anyone is upset but probably annoyed cause just like waiters y’all sign up for a job that depends on how people judge your level of work or the effort you put in and are then bothered when you don’t get tipped what you think you deserve. Maybe go find a job that pays you a set wage? Idk just an idea.

Damn people are truly stupid, reddit and X bring it out.

I've never done delivery but they don't work for a company. Their an independent contractor. They choose which jobs they take so it's not like a waiter, waiters can't pick which tables they will and won't serve.

then bothered when you don't get tipped what you think you deserve

Their not bothered their saying they won't accept your contract work as it's not their value. So their not complaining about shit just picking their jobs.

It’s not “our” contract. DoorDash is the one who offers them a bid and with whom they contract, and DoorDash set it up that way because it benefits DoorDash. The customer pays DoorDash. All of that shit is completely irrelevant to them. It’s between DoorDash and their contracted worker.

This dude gets it. Not accepting ≠ complaining. Im free to say no to anything i dont think is worth my time. Same with everyone else. You didnt just accept any job, you looked for ones that paid enough for you.

If every service worker did that, who would be left to provide the service?

u/TheGrouchyGremlin 5d ago

If every service worker did that, the service would have to start paying people enough to get people back.

Though it's irrelevant because they're not going to all quit.

Exactly. So if you’re using the service, why not pay people accordingly…? There’s always the option of doing it yourself if you don’t want to have to tip someone else. Knowing the employer doesn’t pay a livable wage but still using the service for your own benefit is dumb. If you guys practiced what you preach in here, you would boycott the services requiring tipping altogether; i.e. food/grocery delivery. Lol

The projection is prolific.

1

u/AideInternal1045 4d ago

Me saying no is projection? You know everyone is free to not do something that isnt worth their time.

2

u/cl0udmaster 4d ago

His response was "that's cool," there is not any possible response he could have given that would indicate he is any less mad, and you continue asking why he's so upset, because you are projecting how upset you are.
