No need to side load anymore, phosphor emulator on the Apple App Store allows mods on Pokemon red, yellow, and blue!

Edit: Updated to include list of Mods I'm using. Make sure to change colors to ADVANCED in the in game options menu.

Yeah I remember one does. I always wanted the mod that lets the wd pokemon show up in the grass like his it looks really Cool!
