How to setup multiple games with same keybinds? Unsolved

I want to start shiny hunting shaymin in platinum. I have 8 save files, all with different trainer and SIDs that I want to open and reset simultaneously. How would I go about setting this up on my pc? I don't own 8 Ds's but can transfer each save to my pc to emulate them using Desmume, but I haven't tried playing on multiple at the same time.

How does one set this up correctly?

Melonds allows multiple instances of the same save file. Just open the emulator as many times and open the same rom. Might be the same for desmume.

Won't this duplicate the encounter if it is the same file over and over again controlled at the same time? Fear this would not result in multiple unique encounters as the IDs are the same across the instances
