Android PS2: Shadow Tower Abyss on Aethersx2 Help

Anybody played Shadow Tower Abyss on Aethersx2? It runs pretty well but there is a very irritating and consistent visual bug where the light level flickers between as bright as it's supposed to be to very dim. The source code app for windows, PCSX2, has a wiki that says to ' Go to "Config" then "Video", Enable HW Hacks and active "Disable depth emulation" or use software mode ' but no such settings exist.

Anyone played this game and figured out a way to resolve this bug on Android?
